WOW...i definitly have to drop the RS package, and 1400 freight, thats alot, i thought we were going to catch a break because its being built here, wth, im pissed, the options better not be jacked up, all i want is the IOM trim package and my LT2, you know how much financing will add to your total! I hope financing doesnt kill me, i know the camaro is a way better car then the current competition, but dam, arent those prices a little to high, mustang was 24, chally at 25, and camaro at 27?! And the mustang is going to get a refresh, sorry for the rant, im kinda upset with the pricing, its still in my price range i think, but not sure....anyone have any clue or good guesses on what the interest rate will be like?
2LT-31595
IOM trim- no clue
Total Price- 32500
after tax-36725
+ freight-38125
+w.e other taxes and fees-39000
- 7500 down payment
31500 to be financed
im screwed, i really dont want a base camaro...

I figured that a 2SS would come in at around 42K so I am happy. I figure by summertime, guys will be able to walk out of the dealership with a 2SS under 40K. A 2LT Camaro for around 30K is a very good price.

Well considering you live 30 minutes from the plant, it's pretty darn high!

lmao HYlton, sorry that ive been on a rant, but dam, im really upset, i feel like ive been punched in the face by GM lmao
i mean the states gets 750, and seeing as Canada is an entire different continent from Oshawa, we have to pay 1400, is there anyway i can negotiate the freight charge with my dealer? i remember we had an article on salesmen and it said something about the frieght charge and how it can be negotiated

Yeah, maybe GM will put out an add to all Canadians saying that we've all just been Rick Rolled.

well since our dollar is only worth .82 cents compared to the US dollar, can't blame them but hopefully we are rick rolled, but time will tell.

yeah it does suck that a dealer in toronto pays $1,400 in freight which is the same as it is out here on the west coast.

just an FYI...freight for an impala in canada is $1,350 (same plant); but want to laugh even more - the aveo, which was built in Korea and is now built in mexico, has a freight charge of only $1,225!

the actual freight charge is not negotiable...but that's not to say that the over all 'deal' isn't negotiable. it will be very tough to negotiate a deal to get one of the first batch of camaros into the country, but as it was stated in an earlier post, by late summer, when dealers start carrying stock you should be able to get a 'deal'. and as another FYI...there's not a lot of markup in this car, even at the 2SS level, so expecting 'big' discounts (when the happen) from the dealers is not going to happen. big discounts will only happen if GM comes out with some sort of 'credit' or 'bonus'; but i don't see that happening for a while - or at least until the initial love affair starts to wear off.

thats actually not too bad for the 2ss.... $40995. but i thought msrp included destination fees. i thought i read somewhere a while ago that dest. was included?

so for me $40995+RS(1500)+white stripes(500)+hurst(500)+dest.(1400)+tax(2245)= approx $47140..... its gonna be some large monthly payments on top of my $500 truck payments. lol....might have to sell the ol silverado. :(
