See, two can play at this game. Why are you comparing the two, one's an exotic, one's a muscle car...
Oh hell, there's nothing exotic here.

Yeah I wouldn't call my M6 or any M series exotic. They are very nice cars, but the exotics names belong to Ferrari, Lambo, Porsche Carrera GTs, Audi R8, BV, and I can go on but you get my point. The M series would not be considered exotics.

Hey since you drive a VW I thought you may be interested in knowing that VW brought a 49.9% stake in Porsche. Just a little info.

The 'M' series car's a nice as $hit... but they are not exotics.

And I happen to be a big fan of the M3, not because it's the 'ultimate driving machine' or any BS advertising line like that, but rather because it does so many things so well. I'd pick up a used one for 50k which is what its worth, and be very happy.

That carrera Gt is pretty insane, plus its the only porsche that doesnt have the same played out stretched beetle look that all the other seem to be burdened with.

Yea, I used the wrong word. It's not exotic, but prestigious maybe? Bad word choice, but you get the gist...

Lol, I know. VW/Audi/Porsche have been going back and forth for years now. Where do you think the Porsche PDK came from? It started with VW DSG...

I would consider all 911's to be exotics also. And I still don't see how they look like stretched out beetle's...
Oh, and exotic can also be attributed to Maserati and Aston Martin, plus most of the higher end Mercedes AMG

Oh wait, I forgot... you hate everything that's American. Arguing with you is like arguing with a wall.

He came in here spouting off nonsense, as if his m3 is a ZR1. It's just an m3. It's nothing special... And for 70k... all I gotta say is lol.
If he had a zr1, I would lol at him. Even more plastic

Just curious what the interiors of most cars are made of. I honestly don't think I've ever been in a vehicle that didn't have a plastic dash, so I am curious about what other materials are used (seriously).

I believe it's the reverse of this. Porsche has used PDK transmissions since the 80s in their racing cars and has finally developed it for street use. I believe their racing versions use straight cut gears and so they weren't suitable. The current PDK isn't a copy of the VW design.

Porsche was actually going to try to get controlling shares in VW but then VW did a reversal when Porsche overextended. It's pretty interesting if you like corporate takeovers.

its all about the quality of the plastic and what the surface is like. Is it hard or soft touch? Is there a leather cover over it? This is all critical because the feel of the dash material is vitally important, since you are in constant contact with it while driving. Wait a minute ... I never touch my dash unless I'm cleaning it off. Steering wheel? Yes. Shifter? Yes. Radio/HVAC controls? Yes. Actual dash ... not so much.
