(By Boeing 737-800 that is.)

This is the part my wife makes.

Yeah, the white stuff is rhime ice. For those that are interested in this kind of stuff: That center panel, the wing skin, is not rolled or pressed sheet aluminum like you might expect. It is milled from a single block of aluminum over 50 feet long. And you thought all that billet stuff you bought for your car was expensive!

Glad you made it home safe! Enjoy the rest of your week.

Oh forgot to mention thanks for the offer about Vengeance Racing being near. Making final arrangements with them. Looks like will be bringing the car in on Weds afternoon and will be done by Frid evening. One of the guys in our Caravan is renting a car and he said he would play taxi driver. Will see.

OK where are some funny pictures when you need them? Rather be exploding coffee out the nose than having exploding toes.
Is that De Niro as Taxi driver or..??

Thanks! They look cuddly, don't they?

How's the gout? The best drugs to treat the acute flare-up are colchicine (it used to be available as a generic, but now only comes as brand name Colcrys, rather expensive) and indomethacin. They are both prescription only. Once the flare is controlled, then maintenance drugs to keep uric acid levels down and prevent flares are allopurinol or Uloric. Allopurinol is dirt cheap, try that first... hope that helps, my shift is over now...

How about a round of applause for LBM. Isn't it great to have a pharmacist on staff here in the Ol' Farts thread?

I'd like to see that mill! [/QUOTE]

I searched the web, but didn't find any pictures. And photography isn't allowed in the building. The closest I could find is this one in a company in California that makes skins for C-17s. The mill is in the background upper left corner. The ones at my wife's plant are about a hundred feet long, and can run up to four skins at a time, or two of the larger aircraft skins. The operator sits (or sleeps) in a control cab on a machine about the size of a small garage, that rolls on rails while straddling the bed. There are cameras that monitor the mill head, and the operator can switch out bits, and perform other operations right from the cab.
