It can be, but the reality is that the vast majority of aftermarket suspension setups aren't anywhere near as well sorted as is the typical factory setup. There are exceptions to this rule to be sure, some aftermarket setups are phenomenal, but those usually cost a lot more than $1500 dollars.

Roush offer's a very nice kit for $1500. By the way it's way to quit in here.

This is one reason you may want to leave the car in 5th gear when parked. If you let that clutch up thinking you are in neutral it will bog and stall.

Why do parents let 14 year olds in the drivers seat of that kind of car. Start with a 74 Chevy Vega like I did!
