1st, Interior has been a big downer for me, between the stearing wheel and the radio/temp controls. When we drive our cars what are we looking at and interacting with...we look at the road i know haha, but every time we drive our car we are in the command and cotrol center, im a gadget nerd and i love to see cars interiors that progress with technology. For example the new BMW's are coming with in dash internet, to me that is so freakin cool.

2nd, The reverse light??? They need to be on the car but i have found a million ways they could have made them more discrete. Every time i see the back of that car it screams "Reverse Lights".

3rd, Im hearing we may not get the reversed mohawk on the roof which i found very sexy.

4th, It has lost the low profile sleek design of the concept, production model sits a lot higher, taller roof and longer verticaly bumper.

5th, The side mirrors of the concept are dang sexy, now they are very big and boxy.

Like i said, between now and September a lot can change, but i think what we see now is pretty much what we are getting.

i am so with you on number 4 i've been complaining about that since forever...and then people tell me...its the best they could do and i say nonsense its either the bean counters or over regulation but then again you can just lower the car and get wide rubber to approximate that look

number 5 you and everybody knows no way in hell those mirrors would even be legal

i'm pretty sure the reverse mohawk will be there

but i hate that it got taller and the dimensions changed...

by the way i love the austin powers reference in the thread

We havnt even seen real production pics of the interior, so i wouldnt judge that just yet.

I think it has been confirmed that the cars that dont have sunroofs will have the reverse mohawk.

im sure some company will make mirrors to look like the concept.

I actually like the reverse lights, they dont bother me at all.

I think we should all be thankful that it looks as much like the concept as it does. Im just happy my camaro is coming back!

since the wife is getting a Camaro, I'm kind of sitting this one out for now... but in 2012, I will be buying a new car for myself... and here are my choices in the order that they are most likely to happen:

1. 2012 Anniversary Edition Camaro 'vert

2. 2010 Pontiac G8 GXP

3. 2010 Challenger RT in Stone White or SRT8 in that black metallic color

4. 2008-2009 C6 Z06

5. 2004-2006 Aston DB9

6. 2009 ZR1 (yeah, right, that's gonna happen... HAHA)

Hey ya know im right there with ya! Im as patriotic as they come, prior military and work for the govt now. GM seems to build far superior domestic vehicles than Ford and Chrysler as i could never see myself buying one of those, but you can not deny the fact that the GT-R is one amazing machine. I like to keep my monies in the US economy but then i ask myself, am I if i buy a Camaro thats built in Canada and Nissan has three plants in the U.S., how perverse is that!? I know the GT-R isnt built here but im just sayin.

Im never going to abandon my country, but has GM done it to us? Making new jobs for people in foreign countrys while our unemployment rate is through the roof!?

Back on subject, 09 CTS-V, GT-R, Lexus IS, G-8 maybe, Mercedes CLS

our unemployment is at 5.5% and has been at or under 5 for the last 8 years...

through the roof??? i don't think so

7% unemployment was at one point considered full employment

free trade is good for everybody involved...and it doesn't take away jobs as much that comes out of here just as much comes back from foreign companies...

The interior isn't finished and we've only seen very rough approximations in the spypics so its rather hard to judge it at this point in time.

The reverse lights are there due to gov't regulations and the need to be able to market the vehicle overseas. If you dislike them too much they can probably be relocated by the aftermarket

The reverse mohawk will still be available unless you want a sunroof/vert.

Practicality and regulations.

Again, practicality and regulations.

And Turtle, if you're anywhere near the market for a DB9 then that's what you oughta get...its possibly the most gorgeous vehicle ever designed.

But to answer the actual question, I'd be looking at a Saturn Sky Redline (love that car) or just keeping my 'stang and modding the hell out of it.

Not sure how you think this is normal...

In May the unemployment rate went up .5% the biggest jump in 22 years, there are 1.5 million more unemployed poeple than this time last year, with a total of 8.5 million looking for work.

0% unemplyment would be full employment.

Starbucks is closing 600 stores, Automotive plants are begining to shut down left and right and GM is on the brink of bankruptcy, and this is news ive read only this past week.

What if GM does go bankrupt? Will they still release the Camaro in 09? Thats why i say, whats your back up plan?

I was looking at a few other cars.

1. Lancer Evolution
2. 1998 BMW M3
3. C5 z06 Corvette (2002 for sale here for 29k with 31,000 miles)

These are a few of the cars in the same price range as the camaro. The G37 is about 40-45, the BMW Z4 starts at 42 for base model. I also was looking at getting a used Supra/RX-7/Skyline GTR but I'd much rather have a warranty.

Errrmm... this could potentially be due to the fact that they BUILT 600 stores TOO MANY in the first place.
