Colour, finish, looks aside, I'm told that plastics and glue have acid in them. I don't know if that's true of all glues and plastics, but if it is - knowing that for every 10 degrees (C) increase in temperature, chemical reactions double, what is this doing to the paint? We're not talking ambient temp here on the cars, especially the hood. It's way hotter than ambient. I saw the pics of the car after the plasti-dip was removed and it looked fine but sometimes the eye can't see what's really happening. Time tells the story. Any chemists on the list that can offer any info?

I myself like it and respect the fact that he did it himself. I have been itching for time to do anything to my car and I will finally be able to in a month. As far as the haters more power to you. Its entertaining.

I personally think this looks good. But this comment is the epitome of what is wrong with this forum. "GUYS IF YOU DO NOT LIKE IT THEN DO NOT PUT YOUR .02 IN!" So you're saying people should only be allowed to voice an opinion if it's positive and/or agrees with yours?

Some people on this thread need to hop off their high horse for a second. O yeah http://youtu.be/0Jzi_JQMWH4 So $100,000 GT-R is good enough but a $60,000 Z-L1 is too good? Stop it
i have a friend with a '09 alpha gt-r and he has it wrapped in vinyl.....he gets to change the color of it every year or so. epic.

I think it looks freakin awesome. My questions to you and blackcam would be about the gaps like the doors and the top of the hood, etc:

How do you get the overspray that goes between there out/off?

You don't even cover your lights when doing the car? I'm guessing you peel it off as it dries then?

What are you using to spray? Straight from a rattle can?

I am soooo doing this once I build up the confidence to aim a can or sprayer at my car!!!

Oh and where's that shop in MD? Happen to know the rates??

I personally think the car looks bad as hell. Mean would be an understatement. It's not something that I would do, but it is a one of a kind bad a** looking ZL1!
