You have to remember 98% of Camaro owners are NOT on Camaro 5. They sold alot of these, now they are changing it some to sell alot more. If this is what it looked like in 2010 and none of us had our current one, we would most likely like it a lot more.

Logic is dead

My God, I can't decide if all this whining and crying is hilarious or pathetic.
1. If you already have a 5th gen that you are happy with, then who cares what the refresh looks like? Maybe someone who didn't like the early 5th gen will like this better, and that will lead to more sales. Yes, scary thought it know. 2. Different strokes for different folks. 3. The 6th gen that everyone has to speculate to death about is right around the corner. Everyone is already freaking out about that. Maybe they have something drastic in the works that will please this nitpicky crowd? Or do we just want to dump on that already? Ah, nevermind. I see threads where we already are. Honestly get over it.

Kind of harsh...don't you think? While the early pics I've seen don't wow me personally, opinions vary. You want someone (or a group) to get canned because you personally don't like the looks....glad you're not in a position of real power. |

GMAuthority has a poll and right now it's split 50/50 on people who like the 2010-2013 and people who like the 2014.
http://gmauthority.com/blog/2013/03/...m_medium=email Surprise surprise.

My 4th Gen(that would be a 1998 Z28) with 250,000 miles on it.
Says you need to get your head out of your a**! While I do agree that most of us here are Camaro ambassadors, you cannot argue that the vast majority of the folks on this website do not recognize any Camaro history prior to 2006. The vast majority of the folks on here have only been enthusiasts since the 5th gen came out. Most of the folks on here I would not consider a true Camaro enthusiast - I'd consider them just a 5th gen enthusiast.

It doesn't matter about the Kelly & Michael show anymore. Wednesday is here now and its official unveiling is today.
I personally think the refresh is hideous, but unfortunately once enough time passes, its appeal is going to polarize. 50% are going to love it and 50% will hate it, which is exactly what FBodFather predicted in his post recently and is exactly what GM is counting on. Right now it's more of a 80%/20% thing, but that's coming from a forum of predominantly early 5th gen owners who got the car because they loved the concept. This refresh is splitting its ties with the concept, and so we're alienated as a result. |

Being in various manufacturing companies as a supervisor and Industrial Engineer I know for a fact that simple changes in our eyes are big changes to how a manufacturer produces parts and assembles. So if they invested this time and money into these design changes I really hope they did a good marketing/consumer research job. But I will tell you this from a muscle car enthusiast aspect, the crowd is divided as seen from countless threads and polls. This translates into having a chunk of the market down the drain. So I really hope that the rest of the market share (consumers) left is greater than the ones that are turned off. This chunk of consumers could be rice rocket lovers....idk but you get the point.

I disagree - the would you purchase or would you trade polls aren't accurate either because regardless of the redesign I wouldn't purchase the 2014 MCE or trade my car in...
I would've voted the same way for the 2013 ("no" I wouldn't purchase and "no" I wouldn't trade my car in for a 2013), that doesn't mean the 2013 is bad.
