That's what I thought after looking more into the z/28 intake. Trying to decide between it and CAI intake. I'll be skipping the scoop and washer bottle relocator. I'll have to look at a diagram more to see if z/28 intake will work as well with pre-2014.

They are inlet ducts that lead to the Quantum brake duct kit that I added. The Z/28 brake ducts only feed air into the wheel well area. The Quantum brake ducts feed air directly to the source that generates heat. A bit more expensive and work, but more effective.

Sorry for going off-topic.

I agree with CreeperRS's last sentence. My pics from post #36 of this thread (Page 2) show some of what he is mentioning.

I used to own a 2010 2SS CGM, and let me tell you the Z28 intake will fit, no problem. As far as performance goes, it should be about the same as 14-15 models as the have the same engine. The grill is obviously different but the mounting location and air route to the intake is the same. It just comes down to preference.

Right on! I saw the baffle when you installed the Z28 brake ducts.

I thought the air flow changed in the 14 refresh?

It's slightly different, not by much. Only because the grill is different. It will work with the Z28 intake no problem.

Just checked mine. I'm mind boggled how it gets enough air via that baffle.

I know, it's mind boggling, but it works. The engineers know what they were doing when they designed it. Though it could be improved by removing the baffle or modifying it.

Let me toss something out there as food for thought!

Any chance there is a more direct path for air on the 2010-2013 front end with the larger upper grille opening.

I am thinking about doing the string test like I used to use on computers.

You have to think about it differently. There is air there. There is not a vacuum. And once you are moving, even a little, there will be a positive pressure in that area, the deflector is not a complete wall, air will flow behind it.
