The LFX tune / Mace cams install thread

Hang in there man. If it's not tuned properly things could change. This engine is extremely difficult to tune especially if it's unknown territory for the tuner. Much different working with the direct injection engine. Frustrating to say the least but all hope cannot be lost yet. I don't believe it

Hopefully this is back on track. If there is a way to get a 400 BHP NA V6 it would be awesome.

I wonder how much power they could have gotten from the stock cams making similar adjustments. When i asked Mace about the cam specs, they basically said the duration is what changed. Since its apparent that a lot of tuning is required to get the most out of the change, how much is from the tune vs the cam and tune. As we saw, the local tuner only got 10hp, so my question is for the guys in Australia, have u tried similar tune adjustments on the stock cams since you had to go a lot more in depth into the tune process to make it work. Obviously they are getting higher tune results then us, maybe they figured out how to get more from stock cams as well.

You are correct sir,

There are gains to be had from stock cams alone. In saying that at a minimum the supporting cold air intake and exhaust would be ideal, to maximize air flow in and out.

Very interesting Jason.

After speaking with cam a but it does sound like it is all in the tune, he seems to think if done right he can help a tuner get 90 hp out of the cams! It's to early to give up hope yet guys!

Cameron gets this all worked out for the folks here in the USA and gets my s**t faster. I'll treat him to a Disney day myself too.

The LFX tune / Mace cams install thread

So If I were to do this and have my tunner email cameron, the gains will be significant? I'm so close to pull the trigger and will have a hp tuners tune through a local shop!
