therein lies the general issue (aside the laudable updates to interior and specs) some are finding with the 6th generation. the overall look (evolutionary or devolutionary, take your pick) doesn't evoke similar feelings and/or recapture those sentiments.

global sales (also observable with the neu/xin 6th generation mustang) are being targeted by our domestic muscle car manufacturers. the preference a lot of us here at home have for those sharp/aggressive/masculine lines aren't as desirable in many other global markets. if you liked the direction the design updates took with the '14-'15 camaro, then you're going to really like the neu/xin 6th generation.

imho, for now it seems (appearance wise) as if the 5th generation SS/1LE/ZL1/Z28's are the pinnacle (contemporary) camaro's. perhaps things will change for the better in a few years with a mid-cycle refresh - or maybe even later with the 7th generation...

I agree with many here that the gen 6 camaro has a euro/asian exterior look to it. I am not surprised as Ford's 2015 mustang also has that same look. The retro design is on its way out and I think we may have seen the last of any retroish look with the gen 6. To me it seems like both GM and Ford are looking to include an international market with these latest models. These new designs inside and out are to go global and I think that is a
good thing for the American car market.

I have never owned a new car while raising 4 kids and helping them through their college years until my hubby got me a 2010 SS for this past Valentines day. It was not a total surprise as he knew I was finally in the market for my own car. I absolutely love it and as far as mods only took off these awful chrome wheels and put on the 45th Anniversary model rims. Put a delete on the front grill and that is it.

If I were to trade in my SS - I would go for the 2012 45th anniversary model! If I won lotto; I would do that and add the 2015 stang to my '67 stang fastback. Never liked any of the retro stangs for some reason.... until this year's stang model came out...

There the 2 cents...

The '16 is dead to me. Bought the car for it's retro look and driving/handling, I don't blame GM they eventually they had to change it. That's ok, I plan on eventually upgrading to a lo mile 12 or 13 V8.

I'm with the crowd here; I prefer the 10-13's even the 14/15's are ok not big on the tails. But the original intent was to get the retro look and I think GM did a great job with this in the 5th Gen. If I venture away from the Camaro it will be only to the Hellcat Challenger which also is A+ in terms of hitting the retro look IMO.

The euro sportscar seems to be the push with Ford going in the same direction. I look forward to Dodge's refresh of their pony cars. But the 5th Gen I think will live on for a long time being the iconic reentry into scene!

I like what GM did with the 6th Gen Camaro. They made it so that those of us with 5th Gen cars won't feel out of place keeping our cars as they are "Classic" but made improvements in many areas for when we decide to trade up if we must. The interior looks good but I am worried about headroom. The rear end is an improvement over the 14-15 but I still might like my 12 & 13 better from the back. I don't want a car that is tightened in feel like the C7 corvette vs the C6 corvette. C6 was ok for a tall heavyset guy but the C7 Corvette doesn't work.

Having a 13 ZL1 Coupe 6 Speed with 6500 miles and a 12 45th anniversary 2SS Convertible 6 Speed with 12,000 miles, both purchased new, I don't think we are going to wear them out any time soon.

I feel like there is no way I would consider replacing the ZL1 until the new one comes out as there is no performance increase for that car. In regards to the 2SS, Convertible Manual, there is not much of a performance increase from 426 HP to 455 and still only 6 gears.

I am working on a Driver Mod to get the weight difference reeled in, down 17 pounds already on a low carb diet started after the release, much healthier and cheaper way to lower the combined weight of car and driver on the Convertible. Realistically anyways the convertible is about style and sound, not track times anyways. Much more improvements for for those people who don't own SS 6 Speed Manuals or ZL1s. Going from 400 HP to 455 HP and gaining 2 gears for the auto bunch while dropping 200 pounds on a Coupe for someone who likes to run the track or autocross would be significant, just no me for now.

Scary to think 2 or 3 years from, about having to trade 2 cars with less than 20,000 miles each for 1 Gen 6 ZL1 Convertible, not sure I want to do that or pay to pony up that much difference on 2 low mile cars, not when I can Mod the Z more than just the Rotofab if I feel inadequate, lol.

I am keeping my 2012 1SS/RS, C6 looks more like a sports car than a muscle car. Camaro's are meant to be muscle cars, I cant believe they are making a 4cyl Camaro....Stick with what i have until I can upgrade to a Stingray or ZL1

The way forward isn't to look backward. The fifth gen served its purpose but they should have went with a revolutionary redesign instead of the evolutionary design we have now. I cannot wrap my head around this regressive mindset. Chevrolet has provided you and the masses with cars that fit the styling cues you want; buy those, instead. You want a car that looks like the 1969 Camaro? Buy a 1969 Camaro.
I owned a 69 Camaro. it was a z28 and I bought it in 1970, it was a good car. BUT my 2011 is WAY more car...thats why I love it...It looks like my old Z but it's sooooo much better.

Looks like I may be in the minority here, but I like the look of the 2016. And when you add to that all the performance enhancements I will definitely be in a dealer showroom to look at a new one.

Well I guess the fact that a just bought a 2015 ZL1 says it all. I do not see the Gen 6 knocking my socks off in terms of style and performance.

My Gen 5 is more alive than ever. I do want to see the Gen 6 when it arrives at my local dealer and drive it as well. Based upon the pictures I have seen of the Gen 6 love the interior, the exterior not so much.

5th Gen alive and well for me. I can't wait to see the new car in the wild but I recently saw some model Audi and thought it resembled pics I've seen of Gen6. You don't see other cars and say "Hey, that resembles a 5th Gen Camaro".
