Nathan (or Justin) who's doing your windows? Jim at Optic Armor said it needs to be a place that's familiar with polycarbonate; especially for the doors. I'm having a heck of a time finding a place in the Inland Empire which is ridiculous considering AutoClub Speedway is in Fontana!

Doc, I haven't looked into it yet. Perhaps Jim knows some local he can refer.

Wow looks like I've missed a ton since I last looked at this thread! Its the perfect time for me to start reworking my engine bay among quite a few other parts of the car. I'm hoping to have my car back in the next week, and I'll start taking it apart. The car's running alright, but I have a spare block at my house. I'm going to drop in iron sleeves and rebuild it. Since the motor is coming out, I'll be fixing everything up while I'm at it.

I think it's time to have an awesome looking engine bay!

Hey Josh, good to see you back on here. I'm not sure if you've seen the other thread we did were we are covering the rest of the build. If you haven't here is the link: http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=285800

BTW, that intake I found would look KILLER on your setup!!!

I need to update that thread as I am behind. Perhaps later today

I asked Jim about that and he said to not take it to somebody who just does auto glass; something about the door windows requiring somebody familiar with installing polycarbonate in a non-frame door or something like that.

Yeah will do. Check with Cunningham Motor Sports near you and see if they've handled Lexan windows.

Hey guys.... small update: We have an intake from X-Air on its way from New Zealand. X-Air makes these intakes specific for the Commodore VE, and it is a real hit over seas. In fact, this is the intake used in the New Zealand racing series in "NZV8" race cars. As Nathan mentioned, we'll be mounting it over the radiator and right behind the grill. So the ram air effect on this intake should be really effective. It is also full 100% carbon fiber to keep with the G5.R "carbon" theme

Pretty. How much fan work is needed to make it work for the Camaro?

RJ, we will do a complete doc on what we did to make it work.

Since we are thinking of mounting it below the core support, this picture will give you an idea of how much of it you will see when you pop the hood.

I'm guessing it won't work with an OEM radiator though right?

Hey guys, been avidly watching this thread recently. This company called Duspeed in Australia makes these for the GTO. A buddy of mine who has a GTO showed it to me and I automatically thought of you guys. Thought I'd share. They also make these in CF as well as for the Commodore VE. You may have to custom mount a MAF as these cars don't use one.

Here's a link to their site:http://www.duspeed.com.au/7/otr/

Keep up the good work!
