Hey all..Was at Parry's pizza last night and Jason mentioned he's doing a car show at his new Castle Rock shop on June 27th from Noon to 4pm. He said Don is spreading the word, but I haven't seen anything. Any word Don??? I can make it, but will be late.

Also if anyones interested, I would attend with a few others:

Saturday, June 19th is the "27th Annual Chevy Show and Shine" hosted by the Colorado Camaro Club. It's at 92nd and Wadsworth at the Three Margaritas Restaurant from 10A-3P, with "Move in" from 8-9:30. $20 registration. They had a mail in pre-registration with a free T-Shirt, but cutoff was 6/14 postmark date. If enough commited, I could call them and maybe still get T-shirts and researved 5th Gen area.

If nothing else, might be cool to checkout with Camaro and not enter

If anyone is bored with Colorado shows there are 5 different car shows in Cheyenne this weekend. 4 on sat and 1 on sunday. Pm me for info if interested. More later. There were 74 cars at the Culvers cruise night tonight including James (wyocamaro) and myself and one other 5gen (?) and a drive bye by another red 5gen.

I'm a couple of weeks away from purchasing my plates. Anybody know what the fine is if pulled over without the front plate mounted? I just don't see my self mounting it nor putting it on the dash. I may change my mind, but.....

I've heard $30, "Ud_lose" could probably chime in. (being in the bussiness)
I'm not drilling holes in my bumper. If push comes to shove, I already rigged up a "J" bolt option with clear plastic edging that rests partially above the lower grill and hooks around the lower grill slots. That way I could still remove it without messing it up for show.

Section Violated / Penalty / Surcharge
42-3-202 / 15.00 / 6.00 (for a grand total of $31)

42-3-202. Number plates to be attached.
(1) (a) Number plates assigned to a self-propelled vehicle other than a motorcycle or street rod vehicle
shall be attached thereto, one in the front and the other in the rear. The number plate assigned to a
motorcycle, street rod vehicle, trailer, semitrailer, other vehicle drawn by a motor vehicle, or mobile
machinery or self-propelled construction equipment shall be attached to the rear thereof. Number plates
shall be so displayed during the current registration year, except as otherwise provided in this article.
(b) If the department issues a validating tab or sticker to a motor vehicle pursuant to section 42-3-201,
the current month validating tab or sticker shall be displayed in the bottom left corner of the rear license
plate. The current year validating tab or sticker shall be displayed in the bottom right corner of the rear
license plate. The tabs or stickers shall be visible at all times.
(2) (a) Every number plate shall at all times be securely fastened to the vehicle to which it is assigned, so
as to prevent the plate from swinging, and shall be horizontal at a height not less than twelve inches
from the ground, measuring from the bottom of such plate, in a place and position to be clearly visible,
and shall be maintained free from foreign materials and in a condition to be clearly legible.

(b) A person shall not operate a motor vehicle with an affixed device or a substance that causes all or a
portion of a license plate to be unreadable by a system used to automatically identify a motor vehicle.
Such a device includes, without limitation, a cover that distorts angular visibility; alters the color of the
plate; or is smoked, tinted, scratched, or dirty so as to impair the legibility of the license plate.
(3) (a) A person who violates any provision of this section commits a class B traffic infraction.
(b) A person who violates paragraph (b) of subsection (2) of this section commits a class A traffic
infraction and shall be punished by a fine of one hundred dollars.

Sorry I do have to keep my brother Camaro owners informed. That being said, I do not run a front plate.

Sorry man, but I know the feeling. Thanks for supporting my habit. I just put in an order for myself for about $200, and I thought I had everything. LOL
I'm going to give that Brilliant Spray Glaze a try. I am also getting a few gallons of the stuff I use alot. I'm sure by the end of the summer I will have a gallon of just about everything.

Funny story about no front plate. I pulled a guy over for no front plate once and he had a $10M warrant for sex assault. It was a huge case that was all over the news about 7-8 years ago. No that I think about it, I never did give him a ticket for no front plate. Never could bring myself to write one of those tickets, since I never run with one on my cars.
