While yes this normally hold true for games and has been for over a decade, it doesn't hold true for consoles. Look back at the past couple generations and you will see release dates for consoles on every day of the week.

If they make the home screen customizable that would be awesome, cause I'm not on Facebook or twitter or any social media so if I can remove those options or something to that affect
It'll be nice to make my our order to options we use more often or not |

What about game saves?
If I can acces the ps3 game library will I be able to put my save data on a flash drive and move it over to the ps4? And what about add-on content? Will I have to download them all again after I get the game downloaded? |

To my knowledge, add-on content can not be saved to a USB drive so you will need to download it all again. |

And if that works I would think they can make an update for the add-content to work the same way |

The add-on content is already stored on your account. For them to work you would still need to install them onto the system. |

If you go on your PS3 go to saved data utility (PS3) and it'll be the 1st option it's called online storage, you need to be a PS+ member to use it
It's like an online back up, and you can access it on any PS3 with your account, that's why I'm saying when you access the game library on the PS4 why can't I use my saves through this online storage without having to go crazy with a USB back and fourth on each system? |

The PS3's online storage is only limited to 1 gig. Last time I checked, I have over 10 gigs of saves alone and growing.
Plus, for now, unless you purchase a digital version of the game your PS3 saves won't be any use. Gaikai (the online cloud based game library that we are talking about) won't be available til late next year and by then I'm sure they will already have a plan to make it simpler. |
