"The Shop" Finally - Page 16 - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

Well both good things and bad going on in the shop. We got the apartment primered (good), but that made some issues with the drywall mudding stand out (bad). So it looks like another two days will be lost fixing the problems before we can get color on the walls.

Did get the hard wood and tile delivered......yep, another semi load of materials.
The closer we get on this thing the more I think I am going to have a problem spending much time in the office with this shop right there.

this is awesome seeing you build your dream sanctuary. Man I wish I had that much land in NY.

We are looking to expand now and real estate and taxes here are nuts.

In NY a building like yours would cost approx $7,000,000 with the land being the gist of it and yield annual taxes of $90,000 per year, NO JOKE.

if my entire family wasn't local id pack up and head south immediately and buy a farm.

I feel for everyone up north, NY has lost a great deal of their high earners for that very reason. If you look at the tax data, every time they raise taxes receipts either fall or stay the same. Yet the matra of the day is to spread the wealth and pay your fair share......insane!
