I don't run the front plate in Texas and although I was pulled over once Labor Day Wknd 2011, I got off with a warning. Cop just wanted to make sure I had proper license/identification/hadn't been drinking. If I'm driving Texas Highways outside of Houston, I put the plate on the passenger side dash. I'm not mounting it as I think the front facade of the SS is way too nice to put any holes in.
