It will be anything but quiet when you stomp on the LOUD pedal. Turbos absorb a lot of sound energy at idle, but even then it will be noticeable. A 427 with some base compression moves a lot of air.

I bought a 3" Borla S-type. It has a muffler, but I'm pretty sure the pipe goes straight through the muffler, so it's almost like running straight pipes. Here is the link to it:

If we can figure out how to do it, I'd like to put cutouts on it. But, I'm not really sure it will make much difference with the turbos acting like mufflers. We thought we'd let the car run without the exhaust on it and see how it sounds. Then, put the exhaust on and see if there's much difference. If it's a lot louder without the catback on it, then I'll try to get cutouts for it.

It's a bit tricky to fit cutouts in next to such a big tranny.

The guys at IPS had a hard time getting the cutouts in next to my 2.5" exhaust because the auto transmission is just bigger than the manual. They did some fancy welding tricks to make them work. So, I'm going to wait and see what things look like with the new transmission, 3" exhaust, and turbos down there before deciding about cutouts.

But I do love cutouts! They are so fun.

As you know I swapped out my manual for the 4l80e too and have cutouts on mine with no clearance issues. I will be curious to see if they make much difference on the TT setup.
