My bad then, I used Wikipedia as a source for C1 launch day

The first-generation Chevrolet Camaro appeared on September 26, 1966, for the 1967 model year on an all brand new rear-wheel drive GM F-body platform and would be available as a 2-door, 2+2 seat, coupe or convertible with a choice of six-cylinder and V8 powerplants. The first-gen Camaro would last up through the 1969 model year.

Thank you. C1-C6 refers to corvettes. That should be a public service announcement.

Among the "washed" and the "Great Unwashed", it's a far-too-common mistake...

PSAs are my stock-in-trade, lately...

Wikipedia is not alway correct, as those who were there can attest. Here is a magazine advertisement from the time:

You keep making statements on the shortcomings of the 2013 GT500, that's why it's ironic...
since you don't have one or haven't driven one.

Then telling me I am assuming, don't you see how that's ironic while you're assuming? lol

perfect example of the pot calling the kettle black.

I'm not doubting. The exact date is irrelevant for what I was trying to explain

Understood. However, having one's facts correct will help lend credibility to one's argument.

YOUR Blinding Bias has me reaching for welder's goggles.

What can you contribute, here, that's CONSTRUCTIVE? Anything? This thread, or any other? Please share, if so.

Otherwise...

Hey GB, you seems like a very knowledgeable person. So I have a question that is bothering me. Do you know, why GM decided to use the ZL1 moniker instead of the Z28? The Supercharger could be?

Im hoping they used the ZL1 moniker because a NA Z/28 is on it's way......

I'm not sure anyone outside of GM actually know's the answer to that question.

ZL1s were the King Kong Kamaro of their day, right?

Z/28s were nimble, light-on-their-feet handlers with high-revin' engines, right? Remember the "Hugger" nickname? That came from the ZEE, NOT the SS...but was shared with the SS.

There's still room at the Inn for that "occupant"...
