Look forward to seeing your bleed video. It is truly not easy bleeding these systems (even with the speed bleeder) a bubble or two seems to always be lingering.

I'm receiving a lot of questions about these master cylinders so let me lay out some answers.

Q. how much do they cost?
A. I will have price posted in vendor section when ready to ship
pming for price is ok

Q. do you guarantee they will fix the grind problem
A. no I can't guarantee it will fix your grind . everyone has different clutch and slave
setups i can't test them all. It all depends on how you drive, how badly your
trans is worn already due to grinding and if your clutch fluid is flushed and clean.
you should also be changing your trans fluid to royal purple or redline fluid.
I can however guarantee you the clutch master cylinder will perform as intended
flowing a higher volume of fluid then stock and therefore pushing the slave
cylinder futher.

Q. how many cars have you tested and does it work?
A. if you've followed the thread you would know I've only tested three so far.
I've tested my own SS which has a ls9 katech twin disc clutch 6000+ rpm shifts
with no more grinding. I've installed one in another SS with a stock clutch that
has a hurst after market shifter, Mileman402 has posted his comments about it so
far above in the thread. I've also installed one in Piticu667 car which is a V6 and
he has responded back with positive results.

This will not work for everyone, at least i don't believe it will. some of you will for surely have internal transmisson problems, shifter problem, ect.
What i have done is bring the theory that the master cylinder doesn't flow enough to a reality and made our master cylinders flow more to eliminate that from being the problem. since there is no way to for me to test them on everyones car first there's no way i can guarantee you they will fix your grind problems.

I'm sure you can all understand the point here. thank you.

I know that I have been to 3 dealers and none would warranty my trans due to my cam. Ok I can understand I have over 100+ hp over stock but it wasn't worth it to me to spend thousands to try what may or may not fix it by rebuilding my trans. So I dealt with not being able to shift above 5500rpm.

In my situation I didn't have a grind but rather it wouldn't go into second at all. I had the stock shifter and now the Hurst aftermarket and both did the same thing. I realize that IDEALG was nice enough to install mine for free for being a guinea pig, but if I were the rest of you I would definitely be jumping on this.

Since the install, I have had NO problems shifting 1-2 with this new master cylinder. I don't even race and this would be such a worth while purchase for me, just the joy over actually being able to use all of first gear. For those of you who do race, this will be even more worth it for you and hopefully it will help improve your enjoyment and times.

Mileman,

Did you have 1-3 gear grinding/notchyness/chattering as well and if so did this fix those problems?

Do you mean going directly to third from first? These transmissions are known for some notchyness all around AFAIK

Any way the only gear change that had a problem was 1-2 for me (and for most others I've seen). Like IDEALG said, if you have problems with multiple gears your issue might be more likely in the transmission. My car just completely blocked me out from second. This might have been beneficial for my transmission over grinding but I don't know enough about them to say.

Guys I got a some PM 's from the V6 guys.. Here is my answer:
I am just expressing my personal opinion and should be taken as such

My tranny was bindy and grindy..

In my honest opinion if you have a non damaged transmission the grind should be gone.. I was shifting at redline for about 1 hour today in Toronto traffic.. Meaning I was doing the 1-2-3 test.. For about 400 meters I got to fourth(Toronto traffic sux but its good for testing GM transmissions)..
Result:
No grind and no bind.

:thum bup:
I am extremely happy with the results. I no longer own a piece of lawn furniture but a working car.
:l aughabove:: thumbup::thumb up:

I will be doing an oil change also because everybody agrees GM oil is shit compared to other oils ie Red Line. I do not expect any major improvement with Red Line but I will give it a shot why not..

Add me to the list please. GM swapped out my trans last summer, but the grind has returned when shifting 2nd at over 6k without letting the RPM fall. :(

This seems like a solid fix and well worth a little change.
