I agree. That's why I never sent a message. I felt that there is a chance things were twisted. Next time we need evidence before we all jump in head first and end up looking uninformed and foolish.

My dad happens to be part of the BBB. I sent them a message telling them they have until 12:00 A.M. Sunday, May, 24th, 2009 to give you the car for intended price as listed in the written contract, or their status with the Better Business Bureau will be revoked and notification will be sent out to respective local offices, and media, reguarding the cause of their removal of their offiliation with the BBB. Again, Failure to do so will result in their removal of the BBB list.

Hope this helps some.

(I'm part of it too btw)

That's an epic fail comparison. ZR1's are limited production. SS's are not limited production they are at Avis rent a car.

And right now vettes are way below MSRP just like every other car.

Please don't try to bs the crowd here.

I had the Sales Manager write in big black letters on my order agreement "Price will be at MSRP when car arrives". He told me that the MSRP may increase over time, but what ever is on the sticker when it comes in, is what I pay. Sounded VERY fair to me.

Go to sites like www.dealerrater.com and post their actions...
Dealerrater is pretty good, the only issue is that there are so many dealer review sites out there and depending on your location that effects which one is used more. The rating system on Edmunds seems to give me more information on the dealers I dealt with in Idaho as well as the ones I have looked at in Texas.

Would be nice if there was one dominant dealer rating site. This would prevent dealerships from looking pretty good on one and pretty bad on another site.

I think I am going to write John Fitzpatrick on this. This is total crap, so I guess we will see what their owner thinks when big wigs at GM hears about this.

AGREED! Without proof of the actual terms of the agreement we MAY have jumped the gun. If so, we do owe them some sort of apology.
Otherwise Camaro5 is going to start coming off as a bunch of act first, think second hot heads and lose credibility for the the those who have a legit complaint. Not saying Emjay didn't but we need proof going forward.

I spoke with my dealer at Hawthorne and any car that is pre-ordered from the factory should be SOLD AT MSRP AS PER PRINTOUT/INVOICE STICKER. If Emjay bought the car online from a dealer with a car already on the lot, than the dealer DOES have the right to mark-up the car based on market conditions. My dealer said he'd do the same thing if it was a lot car ONLY. He said it is still a bunch of shit, but it can be done that way unfortunately. Pre-orders are cars personalized for YOU and should not be marked up. Lot cars are up for grabs and belong to the dealership unless stated otherwise.

It's a R6P vehicle. The car came in, and the price was adjusted to "market conditions".

I think people need to wrap the idea around their head that, the order number you are given in no way connects you to that car. You don't own it, or claim any stake in it until you sign those final papers.

Just because a car is ordered to your specifications, doesn't mean it's yours.
