So I stumbled onto this forum yesterday and decided why not try it. 1800 miles on my car and have always put 93 octane in it but did baby it the first 1500 miles. Pulled the three fuses this morning and put them in about 4 hours later. Jumped in the car right after and wow is an understatement! Should this be done on a regular basis?

I started to say this: "As long as you always put 93 octane in, another fuse pull should never be needed".
Then I remembered this: , There's another thread about gas stations in Houston selling 87 as 93. So, maybe a fuse pull every few months is called for, as cheap insurance.

I think you're looking for the NPP exhaust fuse that's in the trunk. This thread is talking about the fuse pull under the hood, number 5 and 20.

Will it work on zl1 automatic?
Had an issue with the car. If I'm doin 50kph in 3rd gear and give it some gas the car wld run as if I didnt press the pedal at all. It stays like that for abt 5 sec then starts pulling. Is it due to the ECM adapting itself for the slow driving that I did during the break in period?
Will pulling the fuse or resetting the ECM remove this issue.

If you're going for speed then you should be in 2nd gear at 50 kph. Are you using the paddles or letting the car do the shifting?

I'm confused.
Did we finally decide that on a ZL1, (for the fuel table issue) we should pull just 5 & 20 from the front fuse box, or 5 & 20 PLUS fuse 13 from the trunk fuse box?

Mine is a 2103 auto ZL1 and I pulled 5 and 20 from the engine compartment and #10 from the trunk. WORTH IT!

I got my 13 with about 40miles on it and I thought there was something wrong with it. I think the dealer put 87 in. I ran the tank empty. Put in 94 and did the fuse pull and made a huge difference

I UNDERSTAND THE FUSE PULL BUT WHY LEAVE IT OUT OVER NIGHT? ONCE THE FUSES ARE PULLED AND THE CIRCUIT IS INTERRUPTED THE ECM DOES NOT KNOW IF IT WAS DISCONNECTED FOR 2 SECONDS OR 8 HOURS. PULLING THE FUSES AND PUTTING THEM BACK IN RIGHT AWAY SHOULD RESET THE FUEL TABLE.

Took the car out to my favorite "closed course" and opened it up this morning. First thing, I can't get the tires to hook up at all in first. I used to be able to roll into the throttle, and it would spin some but catch and pull hard to redline. Now immediately hits the rev limiter.
Then, in second gear, I had figured out exactly where to shift using the onboard shift light. When all dots turn solid. Now, nope hit the rev limiter everytime. Engine is just reving too quickly.
Thirdly, I got a forth gear chirp, at 98mph.

Will pulling the fuse 5 and 20 do the trick.
Does the ECM battery fuse also needs to be pulled?
I did try it once but no success.
Will try again today
Have a 2014 zl1

Downshift from 3 to 2 is quiet brutal.
And the revs are quite high. Will look like a loony if I'm doing 50 in 2nd gear during rush hour.

I bought my 2013 zl1 new with 11 miles on it from the dealer. It came with a full tank of gas and since I never used anything other than 93 octane. I broke my car in exactly as directed by my owners manual, gingerly. After that I drove it mostly easy but also sometimes very hard. After reading about the fuse pull last year I tried it. It didn't make any difference. Obviously the dealer used premium gas as I expected. My point is I don't think breaking your car in correctly will change your setting. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

I live in CA and did the fuse pull. It seemed like it ran awesome for about 10 minutes. Parked it. Then the next day drove again. Then it went to the softer performing setting. Not cool. I need some 93!
