GM Performance Parts is pleased to announce the launch of our first crate engine in the LSX family.
GM has taken the heavy duty LSX block and combined it with the production LS3 components. This includes the High flow LS3 heads and an upgraded forged dished piston to keep the compression at 9.0 /1. This combination creates a high-revving LSX376 crate engine that runs on pump gas, A unique platform for any project.
The engine delivers exceptional air flow capability in a straight forward packaging even without any power-adder. The LSX376 is built without an intake manifold so you can top it with a carburetor or production-style injection system.
The LSX376 comes with only a dust cover instead of an oil pan so you can order what is correct to your application. Just one more way to keep the costs down and not include parts you can’t use.

Yup, it's the stock cam. I do not want that.

Too bad, I liked the orange on the block.

I made 14.5psi with mine so you should be ok with stock cubes but you would probably want to do a cam swap.

Bigger cam means more springs and pushrods. AND the new cam. Starts to defeat the purpose of the crate engine.

The Maggie is good for 14 psi. With a cog overdrive you could probably squeeze more. Just sayin.

Oh, I do. I was just saying that's why I can't do that crate motor I posted. It has a stock cam and if I bought it I'd have to buy all that stuff extra and that wouldn't make sense.

NO cog drive. I do not like the sound. I'd have to go overdrive on the rear to get to 14 though. Or go to more ribs on my pullies.

Lingenfelter makes a 14-rib over/underdrive setup for the TVS. a guy on the dark side is running it on his LS7 with a 10rib up front.

or you could drill small holes into the valleys of the cogs to quieten them down...

To replace all of the front pulleys would be expensive. I'd do the rear cog set before I did that. If there is a way to quiet them I'd do that.
