Your comments, and the pictures in the next post are correct if the car is taken in shortly after the track day. Put 200 street miles on the car after said track day and I suggest you will not be able to tell. Am I wrong?

Yes, you are wrong. For instance after my last track day running PSS I put on 13-15,000 miles of street driving on them. After that they needed to be replaced. If you knew what to look for you could tell I used them on the track. The outside edges were still feathered badly from the road course. If you didn't know what to look for you might mistake it for driving with very low air pressure or a bad alignment.

You can tell in a second look at my "daily driver" tires. 1000 miles since track day.

Despite what some have said, yes the car should be warranted(not wearable items)and is. The service manager even reminded the field engineer"this is marketed as a track car"
Mark good to read.

This is how a good dealership would have handled the case.

In my opinion, the dealer will then evaluate the problem form that standpoint. Any amount of pride you felt explaining to the dealer how good your lap time was will surely be lost when it affects his evaluation of your car. If abuse is involved, then you are still potentially out of luck.

Clutch is good, actuating (hydraulic) system is not! Cornerspeed, I know you were going to upgrade the the master and slave, do you think they will warranty the labor on this issue and install your items?

I think it depends on the dealership because mine put all my mods on for me also told me when i had my Z28 splitter on dont take it to the track without putting the rear Z spoiler on so. I will call them and ask about this track stuff see what he says.

I can't stress enough how important it is to have a good relationship with your dealer. I also understand it is a two way street. You could be totally up front with your service department and they could still be total dicks. The best advice I can give you is to start doing some research on your local GM dealers. My store is a Cadillac store, but we can do any GM warranty work. We have very open minded advisors. We are likely to give you the benefit of the doubt, and warranty something at least once, but this is very case by case. We also make our decision based on the customer too. You catch more flies with honey, just remember that.
I had a customer a few years ago with a first generation V that saw a lot of track time. The calipers had turned brown, lots of rock chips, but a very well maintained car. He changed all the drive line fluids at least once a year, and was very good about oil changes. His car was towed in with an internal failure in the rear diff. We warrantied it, no questions asked, GM paid for it, no questions asked, and he didn't come back with it broken again. If he was back next week with the same problem then I'm sure there would be a red flag.
I didn't read all 5 pages of this thread, but call Chevrolet customer service. Tell them your problem. Tell them you would like to see another dealer. If you find a dealer that you think will help you, let them know when you call, and they will help to set up an appointment. Keep a level head and I think it will get you much further. Good luck!
