Oh shes a dirty girl and is gonna need a good cleaning.
Car looks great and I bet she will look even better in the sunshine (if we ever get any that is). Try not to run out fuel.

Got my ipod working today. Had to update the firmware on it. After that, I covered it up and it's all tucked in away in the garage until the next decent weather day.

Well it's been two weeks (two wonderful weeks) and I'm finally getting adjusted to the car. I'm still in love with how it feels to drive her. Knowing that now I CAN make that pass on the highway. I'm used to the blind spots now as well but right hand turns are still a bit edgy. Hard to tell where the damn curb is sometimes (at night especially) and I'm overly careful.
Can't wait till it gets warmer and I can give her a proper rub down.

I only drove mine the day I got it. I put it in the garage and put the cover on. I'm waiting for the weather to improve to drive it again.

Putting the cover on right away is not recommended by General Motors. The owners manual suggests waiting three months. Gives the paint extra time to thoroughly dry.

Common Sense -
I'm curious to know where you read that. The birds get in our garage and do what birds do on the cars sometimes. I was trying to protect the paint by covering it. Also, the dust blows in there too. We don't have power in our garage and we live in farm country (rural) so our garage doors stay open all day when we take a car out. I'd hate for all that dust to settle on my paint. Maybe I should remove the cover... |
