Rodney wrote back and gave me some suggestions -- one I didn't think about was the plug gap -- I'm currently @ .031 but Rodney suggested .026-.028 with my spraying...

I'll run this a bit but, I'll be buying another set of plugs to keep handy just for that...

The 3M really quieted down the noise! Really surprised how much. Wife enjoyed it too.

I have quite a bit left so, I'm going to do the trunk area a bit.

Car is running fantastic and now, need to work on WOT for the street with Meth...

Having tuning software really keeps this thing interesting...

Logged again last night -- did an adjustment -- Mark and I are tag teaming to work out a good street tune.

I've notice that the AEM remote LED goes on/off vs staying on steady (showing the pumps running). I can see in the log its spraying -- .65 Lambda says so -- need to work that with AEM.

Love this kit though. I'm spinning the blower pretty good and its managing the temps well.

Normally, I'd shift @ 5800 RPMs but did a few in higher RPMs just to see where temps are. Lots of testing still to do.

I'll be swapping out the plugs as Rodney recommends .026-.028 so that is the task this weekend while tweaking the street tune and meth controller settings...

Ordered autometer dual gauge pod, AEM meth flow gauge. I want to be sure of the meth flow AND be able to log it.

Just what needs to be done at this point....

LSA ProMeth Install Test Cont.

Wanted to show the IAT2 temps using 50/50 Meth (Boost Juice):

Yes, almost 7K RPM -- I actually shifted @ 6500 and this time it was a bit slow to shift so I'll need to remember to shift much sooner...

Still, this really shows even spinning the blower that much, IAT2 temps are cool...

Here is a before pic:

That is about 25° more and ~300 RPM less -- boost is about the same.

All of this is before we adjust the Lambda for meth...

So, new plugs gapped to .028 and updated tune installed. Next test is to see if Lambda is closer to .78 and continue to tweak...

Got the Autometer dual pod a pillar... gonna see how that works out next once the gauge gets here...

Then see about adding timing ;o)

Mark and I touched up the MAF Curve up to 11,550 Hz (removed 2% -- From the logging, I don't get much above 10k Hz so this is a good stopping point).

I'll do another run when weather is not 'wet' and this should get me very close to done.

I think I'll leave timing alone for now and test this for a while before anything else.

I want the flow gauge in before pushing things -- just to be certain the 'on/off/on' of the LED is just a glitch...

Here is the log I had 'before' the new tune adjustments -- very close:

So, Mark took a bit of time to teach me how the 'timing' is setup.

Since I use E85 (or close), These tables determine overall timing:

High Octane (HO) Table -- sets the 'floor' of the timing (base if not running E-85 -- say just 93 only):

Next, since I'm running corn, these 2 tables come into play:

So, taking the HO spark (12°), then using the Flex Fuel Multiplier and the Flex Fuel Spark Table -- figuring on a 75% blend of E, we add this to the HO Spark:

Assuming a 5000 RPM, we will be using 12° @ 1.36 Spark Air Mass from the HO table, then .80 @ 6° from the Flex Fuel Spark table (same 1.36, 5000 RPM) and then multiply 6° *.80 = 4.8° (rounded up to 5°) so this is where the 17° of timing comes from:

So, when I decide to test the timing, I'll update the HO table in the 1.36 range only and do my testing there - in the 3400-6800 RPM range - per Mark’s suggestion.

Thanks again Mark (ABADZL1) for the lesson!

Anytime!

Took it out last night, I added 3° of timing in the 1.36 (3400-6800 RPM) row and boy could feel the difference! Still tweaking MAF. Mark gave me some areas to ck and I tweaked them - adding 2% in 8.7k to 9.1k range, and removing 2% from 9.3k up to 11.55k...

Very close!

Meth flow gauge will be here tomorrow so, another weekend project....
