Everyone was super tired. Just wanted to do quick back-to-back pulls and it just made things go faster. When we ran it before the idle was set to 800 - 900 rpm range. Easy to adjust with the netbook.

Nah, the fuel system can handle 2,000 HP easy. There are dual regulators on the back of the intake and 16 injectors underneath.

I deleted it thinking I'd get speedster to pull a fast one on ya'll... but his PM box was full

Sorry, just fixed that.

that was so beautiful, that thing really IS a monster high in the revs

It does like to wind up...

I bet he did... If it sounds anything like blowing a ATAAC joint off of a big truck @30psi, sounds like a bomb!

Pretty loud in the dyno room.

hmmmmmmm ... if it is, it's a good one LOL
Not this late in the game. Gotta be ready for all you yahoo's at C5Fest.

Bruce - that is just plain wrong. That video is incredible or should I say, your engine is incredible. I know what I went through doing my car, but HOLY SH%T that thing is just mind blowing. I cant wait to see it in person as I really wish mine had come together a little quicker so I could make C5II but I have plenty of events planned for the year and hopefully get to see you somewhere along the way. Congrats on finally getting this project wrapped up.

The pulls in this video are all back-to-back done in the wee hours of the morning. Heck we even blew the intercooler off at the 4:40 mark !! ...and the cabinet door flew open at 3:25...ha, ha.

Made 1450 HP at 28 psi. We felt it would be smart to cut the pull at 6,000 - I was a little nervous about blowing the 4 bolt heads off before C5FestII. Will put on the 6 bolt heads after we put in the electronic controller but that won't be until after the fest since the intake base has to be modified. Tom had asked me a long time ago, but I dragged my feet. A little busy at the office.

I will tell you - I am very happy with the results so far. The amount of R&D we did on this whole project has been really cool. Learned a ton. Still think we will hit the goal of full streetability and 20+ mpg too...

Edit: I forgot one other little detail. You will note that even though it was setup on the dyno so that the piping would work, the ATW intercooler didn't actually have any water going through it on these pulls. Happy April Fool's day...

Also, if you watch after the credits, there is a 10 second clip that the SST does actually exist...lol

So without further ado:

That thing is simply unreal. Optimus Prime would be proud lol. I'm just in awe of what you've accomplished. After seeing all you've done, me calling my project thread a "build" is like comparing legos to the space shuttle. Like stacking up a hang glider to an SR-71. Wow and a huge congrats on creating a legend.

Can't wait to see and hear this thing at Firebird!

Bruce, just awesome, congratulations. It is scarey to know you'll be going for more with the 6 bolt heads. You are absolutely the poster child for "do it once and do it right".

I need to get off this blankety blank rig so I can access the video's.

I'll be doing that for a while Monday evening while sitting in the Rio De Janiero Airport drinking Cuba Libre's, and waiting on my freedom bird...

What a great way to pass the time, video's, drinks, and the great people of Camaro5...

Thank so much J and good speaking with you yesterday. I wish you could somehow get your Inferno beast out to C5FestII but know how things aren't always possible. Maybe fly out ? In the meantime, please post videos. The sound of a cog drive F1-R just screams power...

Yeah - a 2 fold statement. 1) The intercooler is hanging by guy wires, not bolted in like the SST 2) Figured if we went over 30 psi the head gaskets would have pushed out on those heads. Hence the short pull at 28.

Thank You very much. Trying not to disappoint, but it's just a car enthusiast build.

Are you kidding me? You have done more research (and shared it with us) on how to lower both sprung and unsprung weight on the 5th Gen Camaro through Blue Angel. You have a great project !

Hey, the only reason the tires/wheels/suspension fit on the back of this is the time you spent measuring it and sending me pics with your CCW's - so thank you.

Sounds pretty cool, but was set artificially high to do the back-to-back dyno runs quicker.

Absolutely !!! And we have C5Fest coming up so soon.
Can't wait until you get back and take Brandi out for the first time. [you gotta have someone film this] Get whatever seat time you can before the Fest. (I am sure you will have NO problem doing that. )
