Over The Hill Gang , Old Farts with Young Cars

I saw my old Camaro the other day. We had a 1990 blue RS what my wife bought new when she got out of college. We loved that car and kept it until last may. It was in need of some restoration and with the new convertible we just got I knew I would not have the desire or money to take it on so we decided it was time to sell it.

We sold it to one of my wifes friends brothers girlfriends. She was going to use it as a summer car when she was home from school. Her boyfriend is a Camaro guy and is a decent mechanic and he wanted to help her fix it up. She works at a carwash that I drive past on my way to work and I saw the car a few times last summer and it looked like it did when I sold it.

When I was coming home last week I saw it again for the first time this year and over the winter he got new tires and had the car repainted and added white stripes to it. I did not stop to look up close but it looked like a good job from the street. I know its silly but we really loved that car and it made me happy to see that it is owned by someone that loves it as well and is taking the time to make it nice again. My wife is going to ask her friend about what has been done to it and maybe I can get to see it up close and take a few pictures next to my new one for old times sake. Here is a shot we took last year of the two together before we sold it.

Zandron, it's not silly at all. When I got my Camaro a year ago in March, I could not bear the thought of selling my Y2K Firebird, so I gaveit to my nephew with the expectation that he take care of it and treat it like the legacy piece that it is. Knowing that "my Firebird" would be appreciated was more important than the $4-5K it would have fetched in a sale.

The Camaro is just fine ... seems to be getting a little faster in fact ... This new computer on the other hand.... If I could reach through the screen and literally grab some of these support techs by the throat ... I would probably have it all done by now.... Or I would be in front of the Judge for murder...
