Corbeau's equivalent (CR1) comes in either grey cloth or grey microsuede center and seat if you are interested. These black version of these are in the Firebird. Just remember with a rollcage your adjustability goes to almost zero. Glad to hear Brandi v2 is coming along. It ALWAYS takes longer (and costs more) than you think, but what a blast when done !! |

Corey and I built the catch can for the differential..
We used a piece of aluminum tube and started laughing as one of us would do something to try to make it look better and the other one would do something else... wash rinse repeat... This is the end result... The part we were laughing about is knowing where it was going to be mounted... It's behind the driver side wheel well up inside the quarter panel.

Oil Cooler...
Corey had ordered an oil cooler for me, and in the interest of not interfering with any air flow through the intercooler...we decided to mount it laying almost flay and put it under the radiator... This meant we had to build a bracket to hold it and a shroud to direct the air through it... Here is the finished product... Corey had me build/fabricate it and he did the welding... We are working on my Tig welding skills but heavy steel is quite a bit different than aluminum... so... I'm still a ways from fine welding on aluminum... The shroud is the top side of the bracket and will direct air down through the oil cooler. The air flow into it is straight from the lower grill and is uninterrupted into the shroud...

B. I looked at the seats you mentioned... but I really would like real leather... when I get the recaros... I may take them to an upholstery shop and have silver inserts done... and Brandi embroidered in the heart rest area.... thanks for the suggestion though...

Transmission Version 4 is a piece of shit... I've had it with that pos... it's going in the garbage.... I told Corey I don't want any part or portion of it in my car any more... We talked to RKT 56 and I'll also talk to RPM tomorrow to find something that will 1.) go into gear.... and 2.) stay in the friggin gear when I put it there... Thanks for stopping by though Mike, I always appreciate your company...

That doesn't sound good. Does this mean Brandi will be resting until the new tranny comes or do you have a tranny suitable for light exercise?

Sorry, lil frustration bubbling up there... Yes, I can drive her if needed, but I don't want to risk anything else due to a pos tranny... I doubt anything would happen, but what if it decided to stop shifting into any gear and left me on the side of the road somewhere... I know... devils advocate... but at this point...I have no faith in the pos trans... I sent Corey the links for the RSG Transzilla... Chris said he saw it at PRI and loved it... I looked at the site and if they back it up at all, I think I'm going to go that route... Others have mentioned the gears wont hold the power... I heard the Black Pig ended up with straight cut gears...Not sure and cant swear to it... The transzilla has 9310 material gears and shafts... (input and output) and I can get it with the SFI bell housing... I'll talk to them and see what they say... Rick at RKT 56 was very helpful... and at this point, I want something that works and will hold...
