I can't wait to uncover the car and do some driving too!

It won't be this week. SNOW

Well I dropped Rene` off today at CincySpeed. Check the video below for my baseline dyno pull. We pulled two runs, one bone stock, one with a drop in K&N filter. The car just clocked 5900 miles and was broken in by the book until 1000 miles then i started letting him have it. Here are my baseline numbers:

stock: 356.71HP/366.81TQ
w/ K&N: 363.77HP/363.11TQ

So... you gain some HP, lose a tad of torque. I am fine with that b/c my 4.10s that are going in this week will make up for the 3.7 ft-lbs

Compared to my buddies car, 500 miles broke in HARD... slammed just off the dealers lot...

364HP/373TQ... So in the end, I guess it does matter how you break them in. NOT BY THE BOOK!

You guys really need to see the air/fuel ration on these things... man at 4500 RPM they get VERY rich!

Well check out my video. I will let you know how the butt dyno feels with the 4.10s and what the final numbers are...

It sounds like your advocating the hard and fast break in.

BTW, thanks for sharing that video. I like how it sounds. I am debating on whether or not to do any tweaking on my baby.
Two schools of thought. GM engineers wrote the book to be safe, a CYA move. Talk to any engine builder and they will tell you the book is 100% wrong. First thing the tech said to me after the pull..."you didnt break it in hard did you?"

In the end I am not going to fuss about a few HP... Either way you break it in will probably be fine...

As far as the "tweaking"... they are meant to be tweaked. If I had an L99 I would get an LS3 cam, tune out the AFM and get a better exhaust (without the HUGE resonator) at minimum. Then you'd basically have an LS3 auto, and then some. You can really unlock the potential of these cars with a tune... at a cost of your warranty. I can't wiat to see how mine runs with the tune and the 4.10s!

I have not really had a chance to see hockey stick graphics from the 3/4 front look. I have only seen photos from front...none in person.

I like the effect. I think that it thins out the profile lines while making the car look longer...(the C5 like my 300SRT8 makes the door taller to give a more pronounced "chop top" look)...which is much needed...one man's opinion.

In other words, I like it alot.

Nice dyno vid.

How do I get photos in my signature....I want to be cool like all you long time members!

Off course I will be a cheap imitation, but imitation is the highest form of flattery!

Do you have a PC or Mac? The photos need to be no larger than the specs below but can be larger than you may think for a website and in any of these formats: bmp doc gif jpe jpeg jpg pdf png psd txt zip.

Save them to a place on your PC or Mac and then you can edit your profile &/or edit your profile picture and add the pics. You can also add a garage, etc.

Pretty easy. Experiment with your size/resolution until you get what you want/like.

Hey, gang
Thanks for the well wishes.
Does any one know of a place to get a Bowtie Emblem/s . I am looking for a Black with Red outline. I have found stickers, and just don't like the look. any suggestions? Thought of painting them myself.

First of all, the sig area is limited in size.. not pixel size, by actual vertical size. If you notice a lot of people have partial pics and text as a signature... well it used to be as much as you wnated and people had novels in their sigs so you have to play around with it.

I do not use the "sig pic" option. I just posted the pic like I do any ohter pic...

click "user CP" at the top of the page
On the left, go to "Edit Signature"
In the tesx block, type whatever you want... (you have a sig so you know what i mean)
To get a pic, you have to host it. I uese www.tinypic.com go there and upload your pics then on the left there is a link that says "for message boards" and it looks like this: http:.//i33.tinypic.com/30lny3q.jpg
Copy that and paste it into the signature area.

This is what is in my sig area:

2SS/RS LS3, SIM-black hood and hockey stripes. Baseline SAE: 357HP/367TQ.
MODS: HURST short throw, Richmond 4.10s, Pfadt poly differential mounts, K&N drop in (+7HP/-4TQ), Custom tune ---HP/---TQ.

[IM.G]http://i33.tinypic.com/30lny3q.jpg[/IM.G]

(I had to add the "." in the img so it would show. that wont be there)

Now you have to try it to see if it cuts it off. basically save the signature, go to one of your posts and see what it looks like. If its screwed up, go back and change it. I am at my size limit. If I go any taller, it iwll cut off the bottom of my picture.

If you have any more questions, feel free to ask away!

Arrow AAC DRLs - PW13s

I know Darth is happy with his order from AAC, and GC and I are waiting on our pretty high priced DRLs but I would hold out if you are looking at getting them until we see if they are worth the $. Three votes should be enough, but the customer service, production schedule, is how can I say... Lacking.

Darth even had some frustrations, but will be quick to come to AACs aid...

There are a few areas you can go to make up your mind on the AAC folks on your own if you don't want to wait to see if they are really worth the $ and wait.

1: http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=53193
2: http://www.camaro5.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=75

I am not saying don't, but incase you have pretty high customer service expectations (like me) and expect to get something you buy when you are told you get it (like me) then I would say " The jury is still out".

Who knows they may end up being "the best thing since sliced bread"?
