i have a stock rear end 2011 SS and wanted to go the cheap route for drag wheels and tires. i was looking at the C7 Z06 wheel in 18" says its a 56mm offset. here is the link

http://www.oewheelsllc.com/18-Fits-C...-Black-18x10-5

Also, with this size wheel can i run a 325/45/18 without any modifications? or do i have to sick with the 9.5" rear wheel with a 305/45/18.

MT 305/35R20

Has anyone chimed in as to whether or not the Mickey Thomson 305/35R20 ET Street SS fits a 2010 SS. It does have a 1" Hotchkins drop. Pro Stock John had a "(need to check this one)" on the stickey

I have yet to find a SS or ZL1 that 17" welds didn't rub the LCA in the back. It is a slight rub, but it is there.

Also, make sure to tie back ebrake cable. I forgot when I put on my 18's and got a slight rub mark on both.
Exactly why I went with 18's, even though so many swear that 17's work.
Depends on weight as well. A fat ass in the drivers seat will rub even more.

Hey John.
Have update for page. (Dont have time to read all the posts).
My 17" Bogarts will not fit on a ZL1 front without modifications.
nit sure on back-assume dame issue.

Offset is not enough.

The front of the caliper will rub against backside of wheel.
Spacer is needed , width of a 3/4" romex ring -about 4mm.

Wheel weight should be shallow style and placed closest to outside edge. The pic with the blue tape stack didn't clear side of caliper.

Ill get some radius sizes once I find a metric tool.

Tim

Time for New wheels and tires

Hey John, you helped me out with rear wheels and tires about this time last year. Getting ready for a couple more mods and will need new wheels and tires to go along with them. We went with Nitto 555r 305/45/18's on Grand sport wheels. Looking to shed some weight with a front and rear wheel/tire package. It's the wife's car, it's a 2012 SS with 22k on it, stock ride height. She pretty much drives it to the track, races and back home. It spins the nitto's off the line and the 1-2 shift. Wanna try the MT radial SS's on the rear. Need something in dark gray or black for wheels, what's your suggestion? What size wheels do you suggest for front and back and what size/brand tire for the front? I don't want to go too skinny on the front for street ability. Thanks in advance.

Anyone running a 17" dark star or everyone still using 18"? Found a great deal on darkstars but really want to go weld or possibly bogart. Price difference is really pushing me towards darkstars though

I just got my new 18" MRR wheels in yesterday.
They fit perfect with the Mickey Thompsons.
Can't wait to get to the track to try them out.
I also ordered a full set of 20" for daily driving, they should be in soon.
