I left mine hooked up. It can still be seen from certain angles and you can never be too safe. I'm sure you can unplug it or cut one of the wires going to it and cap it off with a wire nut if you want it turned off.

I was wrong, the picture I had on my video camera from early 2010 was the Transformer package they messed up on and pictured with a high wing and halo headlights. This is what I took to a dealer and told them to order me one. Guess what .... they couldn't. The other mess up on the build your own site happened in 2009 where if you kept clicking RS package and adding the high wing, it finally showed you a Camaro with both wings, but this was computer generated. I do not have a picture of that one, but I wish I did.

[QUOTE=skuttduck;3714916]I'd like to see what others come up with for the high wing. My wife and I had a few designs before we did what we did here.

Here are some photos of what GM came up with for the 2012 Transformers Special Edition's wing. The mounting posts are black and the wing is yellow with black decals. The car looks sweet. Maybe I should buy one to park beside my 2010 Transformers Special Edition.

You gotta walk around it in person to see how it looks on the car.

The height is done that way as it goes with the lines of the car from all angles.

You are correct. Looking dead on from the back, they are similar. I test drove one and almost bought it back in 1988. I was definately going to get the one with the high wing. I always thought those were cool cars, but then they started having trouble with them catching on fire. Glad I waited 22 years for the camaro. I have seen a few nice looking Fieros still around.

HA! Thats what it looks like! The Fiero wing. It kept looking familar to me. I still have my wing up in the attic. I never put it on after a insurance claim I had with my Fiero way back when. Hmmm wonder if it will fit the Camaro.

Let us know if it does. Would be very intereting if it does.
