But the op obviously doesn't trust his daughter, so there is nothing we can do or say to change that.
That 74 stock? 0-60 in what -8-10 Seconds?
L65 350ci 1x2bbl 145 hp @ 3800 rpm 250 lb-ft @ 2200 rpm
LM1 350ci 1x4bbl 160 hp @ 3800 rpm 250 lb-ft @ 2400 rpm
L48 350ci 1x4bbl 185 hp @ 4000 rpm 270 lb-ft @ 2600 rpm

Some of those numbers are lower than a honda in a heavy car.

I can't believe the "NO" answers. This is an event she will remember for the rest of her life.

Of course have a good sit down discussion with them before hand of what is expected.

My wife & I let ours use our brand new corvette and they were great with it. They had 5 others with vettes from their parents and all went to the same Melting pot fondie restaraunt.

If the boyfriend is driving; NO. Unless he has a close relationship with your father, he won't treat the car with the respect deserving of it or your father no matter what words might come out of his mouth.

If it's the daughter driving, maybe; but, she's also likely to breakdown if the boyfriend begs to drive it just for a little bit.

Either way, I'm leaning closer to no way.

Rental is a good suggestion, though.

Im sure he trust you but I would say no... High School kids sometimes make poor decisions I know you would feel bad if his car got keyed, door dings etc. The thing is if something happened to the car even if it wasn't you fault you would feel bad

Good learning car nonetheless. Try driving it in hevy rain and you will learn to control any RWD car really fast!

You missed the fact that I got a 426 HP car at 20.
Some people are just more responsible and better drivers than others.

I got an old '98 Honda Civic for my daughter to drive to school. Just keeping it parked in the school lot, it had the rear bumper hit twice, and large scrapes on both the driver and passenger side from someone else's bumper scrapiing it. And that is not counting the numerous door dings on both sides. My concern would be about the other kids - especially if she is driving a Hot car, some one is going to want to race her.

Also it does not mention if the car is an Automatic or a Manual. If a manual, does she know how to drive one? This is not a car to learn on.

I am really liking the renting a limo and going with a group idea.

Like my son said "Dad, when you get really old and CAN'T drive any more, can I have your Camaro?"

I said "May be".

Even then, I wouldn't let him drive it. He should be able to get his own.

So, my suggestion to your father is: DON'T let her drive it!
