Let me assure what I noticed was a well executed, well layed out comfortabale interior. What I noticed was a 3.6 L SIDI 304 HP V6 with a 6 speed manual trans. What I noticed was how wonderful the NVH was. What I noticed was how well the car rode and handled due the wonderful suspension. I did use the express up windows, the power recliner and the PDIM for my iphone........all on a car that stickers for about $26,000.

What I didn't notice was no light on the vanity mirror (I honestly had to double check that it has mattered so little), I did open the trunk and never gave the wiring harness a second thought. I did show a guy how to use the lever on the seat back to get into the back seat and he didn't say anything about how hard that would be. And you know what else I didn't do? Tap on the top of the IP with my finger nail to tell if it was skin over foam or hard plastic. Looking at it you can't tell, and on every other car, I CAN TELL.

Just sayin'.......................it's an awesome car and it's strengths out weigh the weaknesses.

And to support Fbodfather, I DID work at a Japanes OEM and they DO wory about piece cost and investment and ease of manufacture. DO NOT fall in to the hype that non-US manufacturers are that smarter.

And Fbodfather has really, and calmly I might add, tried to add some clarity here. LISTEN TO HIM.
unfortunetly for people like scott and the rest of the team at fault for such a a great car; people will always think that (one of the most important icon revivals,) the camaro was designed and built by people who have no idea what they're doing...

just because they aren't 100% satisfied with the final product.

like scott says, can't get 100% but by god 96% sure will do.

funny how i'm 96% happy with this car, and that's more then enough for me at a 30k level.

I was waiting for Fbod to chime in again. He took some shots that were pretty uncalled for IMO. He makes some great points, especially about something as rediculously unimportant as vanity mirrors.

I propose a new rule: Unless you actually are high up in management of an international manufacturing company that has to meet different regulations for the same product sold in different countries, all the while kepping the product appearing the same and appeasing fans of past generations of said product, you cannont comment on 'how easy' it would be to do something.

There's my .02 and I'm out for awhile to take a walk or something, cause this is getting rediculous.

Oh yeah and the Frat-A-Stat is too small to read and the Dinglefob isn't in a good loctation to reach when you are doing reverse doughnuts...

But the ones on the Smart car are just right...Why couldn't GM do it right on the Camaro??

Scott ( Fbodfather) Number 3, Heatherr and everyone else at GM screwed up big on this CAR!!!!!.......................................... .................................................. .................................................. .................................................. ...........................................I never got MY CTF Car.......................................... .................................................. .............AND I DONT WANT TO WAIT TIL MAY< I WANT IT RIGHT NOW
No but all kidding aside, the Camaros interior felt absolutely amazing for me, i ahve sat in 2 2SSs and one LT, and honestly i dont think i have ever sat in a car where i got this much excitement, the Camaro really hugs you.
By the way some of the comments made here were just ridiculous, like Caddilac qualitiy,
Why doesnt my Camaro have Granite for the trim, why doesnt it have Italian leather, why doesnt it have a V10, and why is it 35K( Canadian Pricing) It should be free.
Come on guys, some people have extreme expectations here. We need to get a little more in tune, at the price of this car, try finding a car that is Brand new, which fits the same price and same list of options. Good Luck.
Were people planning to sleep on the IP or something?
Sorry for the rant, but i had to throw in my .02 in and i know everyone is entitled to their opinions so heres mine. It seems that this thread has gota little heated

This whole post is funny. I can't believe how many response the OP got. Who cares if he doesn't buy one for those details. It's not like he came to your house and started peeing in a corner. Plus, it's probably hard to put on your mascara late at night without a lighted vanity mirror.

Honestly, how much more discussion can there be on this topic?

We went from vanity lights and passenger seat to poor interior to GM economics and R&D back to vanity lights. The circle is complete.

It's a great car for a great price. Play ball!

Well, I totally respect the OP's opinions. Its his 38K and I agree with him, it is a lot of money. If he thinks the interior is cheap plastic and he doesn't like it, I would be dissapointed too. I didn't read the whole thread but I am going to assume there was an operator error on the rear seat entry, if its a two step process, that is stupid and a huge inconvenience.

I am sure he will not be the only one who shows up to purchase the car and has second thoughts once its seen and driven. It happens. Its a very competitive market and there are a lot, and I mean a lot of very good cars that can be had for 38K many of which are capable of putting a "blank eating grin on your face.

No need for anyone to get butthurt. We all have different expectations and we cannot nor should we try to impose our expectations on anyone else.
