I'm new to this site, so please be patient. I listed my Vin# on camarotracking, today I see I have ETTX908770 ( in-transit / rail). Just to be clear , Do I just call the CSX 1-800-235-2352 as indicated in Dreamy's post and the other informative information and it will spit back a location on the phone?

Great info, works like a charm.

My Camaro was built AND shipped last Thursday (10/15). CSX reports it has arrived at the CSX/UP interchange in Illinois today. UP reports it will leave there at 7:30pm this evening and head for the Denver area.

Whooo hooooo!!!!

Just wondering if their is a way to find out what the route for my car will be? It just left Bellevue Ohio and I purchased it from Phelps in Greenville NC. How long should it take to make the trip?

Generally trains average 15 mph and most rail routes are 1.5 times longer than highways. So for example, if two cities are 100 miles apart by highway, then they are about 150 apart by rail. It would take about 10 hours by train.

Thanks so much. My car had another Ohio stop (Portsmouth) but it looks like it left that railyard at 10:45 am. Its getting closer!

Are there instructions on how to navigate the CSX automated phone tracking anywhere? My Rail car is ETTX802197 but I don't seem to be entering the correct data since it keeps sending me to a rep (or at least tries before I hang up). What is the car initial in this case?
