THERE IS NO ARGUMENT ABOUT THE ZL1 VS THE BOSS OR SHELBY IT BEAT THEM GET OVER IT.

NOW THE 2013 WAITED TO SEE WHAT OUR HAND WAS THEN PLAYED THEIRS
IF THE ZL1 HAD 800HP THE NEXT MUSTANG WOULD HAVE HAD 900HP

Wow nice attempt at trolling but I hope youre not representing the entire c5 community. The zl1 was a response to the gt500 (and a good response at that) but that just means gm was playing off of fords hand.and how cam you say the 2013 was also played off gm's hand? the cars are pretty much coming out at the same time, which means the gt500 was in development way before gm announced any figures for the zl1, duh.

Heat soak... how long do you think that will take to set in and pull timing out of ZL1.

Or 350 mile race... let's see.. how many times would the ZL1 need fuel compared to the boss mustang? Or here is the best part... read this...

What sanctioned body event do you speak of, that the ZL1 could race a 350 mile event?

GM (and Ford) marketed the ZL1 and (Boss/LS) as a track car. Ford did so first however, a car that is track ready is far different that is competition ready. You will find that there are a lot of GT, Boss and Boss LS owners that are running competitively in SCCA and NASA. All thier cars (11' GT500 and the Bilstein equipped '13 GT500 included) are legal to run competitively. SCCA now allows supercharged cars to run legally however, the SCCA, NASA, FIA (Europe) and in fact every single road racing organization in the world WILL NOT permit the use of MRC as the ZL1 has.
Could the ZL1 enter Grand Am this year in GS class? No... Could the ZL1 challenge Paul Brown in SCCA GTS? No... Will NASA accept them? No again... The SS has trouble there alone.

The reason an obscure track was selected was because NO existing times for any of the Mustang's are recorded on those tracks. The last GT500 vs. Boss LS at Willow seen the GT500 win by .5 seconds, add in your 650/670hp, 600+tq, Bilstein shocks, revised gearing, New Goodyears and better cooling...

Exactly. One of the mags got a 12.6@116 with the ZL1. Thats only .4 tenths quicker with 110 more hp and LESS weight.

Challenger 392's prodigious power made its presence felt in the quarter-mile, too, clocking a 12.6-second run at 112.1 mph.

Thats two auto mags that test cars for a living.

0-60 mph: 4.3 sec n 0-100 mph: 9.5 sec n 1/4-mile: 12.6 sec @ 116 mph

They ran the SAME time!!! lmao

I agree. Dodge is behind. But when it comes to 1/4 its just not that far behind. Ill be the first to admit dodge is effed up in the head!
