Can I ask how you guys find out where your rail car is and ETA? I know how to check delivery status on here, and even called the phone number to the rail yard to talk to the automated system. However, they ask for my rail car's 'code' or something, one that isn't provided on the list.....Can I get some details?

If you're using www.camarotracking.com, the rail car number should be there unless you're car isn't in transit yet.

this is prolly a dumb question..but...the rail systems operate non stop 7days a wk right?

I do have the rail car number. However the automated system doesn't ask for that...or at least when i try to type it in it tries to send me to a real person. Since we can't do that I have to hang up.

well i dont know if they operate sundays but i do know for sure they do saturdays. yesterday my car went from yard central illinois to fairfax kansas to its final destination all in one day.

you must not have been doing sumthing right not for sure what....but i tried it and got it to work. your car is in fairfax kansas, same place as my car. and it has been unloaded.

If you are calling CSX, it asks first for the car "initial" and next for the "number". The "initial" just refers to the letters at the front of the tracking number, probably "ETTX", and the "number" is the rest of the code. You can say it but the voice recognition isn't that great. You can enter it using the phone keys, for ETTX you would enter 32 81 81 92 which refers to the position of the letters on the number keys on the phone.

Thank you VERY much guys. The 'initial' part was screwing me up and I didn't realize I had to press 2 buttons for each letter. Gracias!

hopefully our cars are delivered by truck today to our dealerships.....cross your fingers lol

Still don't have any truck info yet, but now I know for sure it's in the rail yard 50 miles from me. :( Wish I could drive there and pick it up myself.

Got update today...car left on rail friday. As of 0720 hrs today it was in Champaign IL......
