I understand that. But tire performance is not constant even over the relatively narrow range of recommended rim widths.

It probably comes down to whether you're trying to maximize car performance once the rim width is "set in stone" or trying to extract maximum car performance having settled on a tire size. Different questions, different answers.

Do you have pictures on the wheels? I am considering going the same route as you did.

Thanks

Don't have many good pictures yet - hopefully in 1 week or so. Finishing the details of Z/28 aero installation.

Well I have a very different impression, I had replaced Bridgetones to MPSS on another car I used to have using the similar car manufacturer recommended tire size and was dissapointed how thin MPSS looked installed vs old Bridgtones.

This time I am considering the wider 325 MPS4 and see how it fits in the front and or back.

Looks nice, but the the MPS4 seem to be taller than the Trofeos.

You can find the specs on TireRack.com

26.7" (MPS4S 325) vs. 26.3" (Trofeo R 305)

The MPS4S 305 are the same diameter as the Trofeo R 305

AG1LE, looks great.. how much front camber do you run?

I run mine maxed out so I'm concerned that the 325 would hit the strut in the front. Do you have an idea of how many mm clearance you have in yours?

Are you looking at section width or tread width? The correlation between the two is not as good as you might expect (ex. MPSS 265/40-18 claims a wider tread than MPSS 275/35-18, and that's even within the same tire make & model).

I'm going from my experience on this car, tires sizes, brands, and pictures provided. I'm not sure what else are we discussing here. Everything is on this thread already. Other than pictures of anyone running 325/30/19 MPSS on 11" fronts.

Just trying to find out what might be making you think the Michelins look narrow. Sometimes there is some optical effect involved (I'm not going so far as to suggest it might be an 'optical illusion' just yet).

Thanks - don't know yet, it's a new setup and I still need to play with it a bit. Won't be the same as stock, since I will have camber plates and coilivers.

I said Bridgestones run narrow. Michelins run wide.
