Not you Scotty. I know what you might think of me based on what I've said in other threads, but I don't have that same sense about you that I have about others. In fact, I'll come right out and say you're the ONLY salesman on Camaro5 that I trust.

Sometimes its all in how you say things. I think you catch my drift.

NORTHERN CALIFORNIA MEMBERS REJOICE!!!

Folsom Chevrolet
12655 Auto Mall Circle
Folsom, CA 95630
(916) 985-5600

Upon sending an e-mail to Folsom Chevrolet, I received a copy and paste answer about financing with no information showing that the salesman even read my question. This was after the automated response, so he sent it himself.

About a month later I get a survey asking about my experience with said salesman. I responded with my feelings and reactions. Another 2 weeks go by and just today I received an e-mail from this person who seems to know what he's talking about and you can read from the e-mail that this place will be selling camaros at MSRP or below. I'm trying to work on a fleet discount price or group buy type thing for members of the boards.

Folsom Chevrolet as someone pointed out earlier in the thread (where I got the idea) is the dealership that this man works at. I must commend him on his customer service skills.

XXXXXX,

Well, this is embarassing.

My name is XXXXXXXX. I'm the Business Development and Training Manager for Folsom Chevrolet. I had a discussion with XXXXXXX regarding the response you received from one of my staff.

That training is my domain, I wanted to take personal responsibility for this "unfortunate" response you received. To that end, I also asked that I be the one to handle this.

On behalf of Folsom Chevrolet we are, of course, mortified that a member of the Chevy family could be given anything less than an outstanding response. In the day-in and day-out of business, I expect these things happen more often than we would like to believe possible.

But that's no excuse. We pride ourselves on personal attention and relationships with our customers. More often than not, our car and truck buyers are repeat customers; folks that wouldn't think of going anyplace but Folsom Chevy.

In XXXXXX's defense, it might help to know he's our newest sales representative and is still considered a "green pea."

..we're working to teach and inspire him to a much higher standard.

Kids...

Anyway! The answer to your question is YES!

We will gladly accomodate your Camaro order(s) - at or below MSRP. Our dealership principal (owner) has made clear that we will be offering the Camaro without additional dealer markup. The sticker price is the price.Keep in mind, as you well know, that the convertible is not going to be immediately available.

If we can somehow make ourselves your recommended dealership, than we will work very hard to make you a hero to those that heed your advice.

Folsom Chevy's a great place to work with. Young salesmen? Well, sometimes they're just that. Young. But we're on it.

And thanks for the input. It didn't fall on deaf ears.

XXXXXXXX

There you go, now you have at least two known options in California.

YAWN!!! Will it also have wings and be able to convert into a submarine!?!?! Seems about the same thought process, considering we're about 6 MONTHS away from the re-insertion of the Maro!!! IF that would come out....MAYBE it'll come out it 2011-2012 when Ford's supposed to really make some changes to the Mootang!!! Buy a bone stock 2010 or 2011 SS for 28 G's (my guestimation) and put 15G's into the motor. You'll be able to see those numbers you're talking about and not have to wait 4 years!!!

Agreed, but there are quite a few of us waiting and speculating on what the Z28 may be should GM commit to it.

We'd appreciate it if you'd indulge us while we wait on GM's decision.

Thanks.

I got my truck for $4000 under the sticker price, and they ship for free within the province. Not sure how many people from Canada here...

I havent asked them about the Camaro yet, i will for my next oil change.

That's good to hear. I'm from the Peace Country originally and many of my friends and family have bought vehicles there. They were always known to be one of the best to deal with in Alberta.
I live near Vancouver, BC now and if the local dealers tried that added markup shit I'll give them a call.

Thanks - it makes the passion for the car even better, and easier for me to work to provide all the information I can as much as I do.....all between selling the other cars on the lot.

This GM Employee pricing thing has kept me away more than I would had liked....I'm a true Camaro Forum JUNKY !
