Just took my baby up to the shop and dropped her off for some needed PM.. Swap out the valve springs,,new thermostat and housing,,oil pan gasket,,oil cooler/heater block,,new spark plugs and an alignment.. Wheewwww... Found some oil leaks the other day and gotta get them fixed ASAP...

How many miles on those springs? I'm about to hit 10k on mine, so just curious what your changing them at.

I hear you on the leaks too. I have a very tiny bit of seepage from just one oil pan bolt and also a very slow leak from what looks like the stock oil cooler. Of course I had it off since I swapped the cooler from the L99 to the LS3. Thought I got lucky as the one guy who took the cooler off and didn't get a leak after install. I was wrong. It's all so minimal that it never makes it to the ground, but I just hate the idea of a single leak.

Yes sir, that's why she is in, I hate leaky cars, just not good. I have 23k on the springs so far. I too had only 1 bolt leaking on my oil pan last year and we snugged it up and found 3 more bolts that were loose as well, tightened them all up. I guess over time the gasket got out of wack and it started leaking again, so now going to replace it, leaking all around in several places. I too had a leak about 3 years ago at the oil cooler block and it was the fitting that goes into the cooler block itself, we fixed that and was good for the last 3 years, and now the block is leaking and it has to be replaced. I was going to delete it, but decided nah, leave leave it. And yea I never knew the cooler block was leaking until we put her up on the lift and the entire bottom of the car was oiled from the pan to the trans brace.

Finally got the A/C belt on (what a pain) . Also backed the '84 off the lift and put the '14 up to do rear diff. oil change (kinda dark and a bit of metal on magnetic plugs) and also went ahead and did oil change since I don't know what dealer used when they changed it . It definitely wasn't a Delco oil filter .
