BMR said BK070 bushings will be in next week so, that is the new plan. Still waiting to hear back from C7...

Now, the waiting continues....

These BMR bushings look interesting. I wonder how well they would hold up to daily driving...in salty/wet conditions.

Well, I have the bump steer kit and BMR toe rods/trailing arms that are sphericals. 5 years on those and going strong (lube often) but, I’m not in NE ;o)

Been taking the car out (since the Dr. said I can just 'drive' for now ;o).

Really nice weather, temps in 60's-70's, trans is working fantastically! Ryan has the tune working so much better now that the trans was rebuilt to take the power -- everything in normal and 'drive' mode shifts fast and crisp - no more hesitation/TM pulling a ton of timing/fuel (like the previous tune on the 'stock' internals). Really amazed how a strong trans responds. Still taking it a bit easy -- have a few hundred miles on it..

Can't wait to update the Radius Arms and see how she drives then!

C7 has not contacted me yet after a few PMs -- I get concerned after putting down a deposit and several months go by -- that I'll be put on the back burner for 'more immediate' projects. I'm more concerned they will 'delay' the 5th Gen 2010-2013 for the 6th Gens. Happens sometimes as business need to address immediate needs -- hoping that won't be the case -- time will tell.

If you're on the fence for the wing, I'd wait until it becomes more clear which direction will be taken -- the C7 thread on the wing for the 5th Gen is no longer up/active so no way to get status...

Just an honest evaluation...

Man, DynoSteve is something. He contacted BMR and somehow got one shipped for me today!

Should have it early next week!

Drove out to MSR Cresson to visit with my friend Geoff (h018871) and watch a little bit of racing. Gave him my Morenos for backups (I didn’t need them). Ate at Lazy Dogs (good food!). Came home and adjusted my ride height. In the rear, I noticed the right side (which is as low as it can go) is 5mm higher than the other 3 wheels (650mm vs 655mm). I’m attributing that to all the solid bushings, etc. in the rear. I set the pre-load all the same so I would assume that is good. Preset the ride height before install, then adjusted using the tape measure. Tire pressures are all the same.

I’ll live with it for now. May pop it on scales to make sure cross weight is good too. For now, it’s pretty close...

Checking things out before the new sphericals get here:

Here is the bolt and sleeves:

10.9 bolt 110 mm long (stock length). I also have 2 @ 130mm just in case. These look like they'll do very well!

Also:

Wanted to show the Radius Arm bushing insert -- these are a combo of JSPP insert and very 'hard' rubber:

These are kinda similar inserts as the 1LE (1LEs are D shaped however) -- I think if I were to do this again, I'd just get the 1LE arms (the voids are filled in more in the aluminum bushing) and forego the spherical insert -- these look damn tough!

Have to give it to the engineers -- made these things lighter and really looked to make these things ready for the track!

I wonder what the difference is between the SS 1LE radius rod and the ZL1 1LE.

My guess is it’s the same as the SS 1le since they don’t show Different part number. The 1LE version is more stout for sure...

So, as an experiment picked up 1LE radius arms too. Checked the zl1 1le, they listed the same but, that could be just what they say.

I’ll have them Wednesday...

The ones for the zl1 1le look like the 2SS versions but, a different insert. $62 each but, I cant see ‘why’ they would be better.

So, this is 1 part of the zl1-1le handling package (minus the DSSV kit):

In the square red box -- those are the ZL1-1LE version.

Those sure look the same as the 2SS:

And not the SS 1LE version (below):
