Thanks SS!

Great pics Ruby! One of these days I'm going to have to join this AZ crew at a meet at Firebird or Speedworld.

NAPA has the parts in stock to replace the ones I boogered up yesterday. I might be able to at least hand the calipers back on the car today.

Happy Sunday All!.

Rick, are you aware of the Laughlin-Havasu "Run to the Fun" event put on by Arizona All Gens?

Here's the link. It's scheduled the weekend of January 25th. Last year there were about 80 cars, this year they're aiming even higher. I'll be there with other people from Southern NV. Maybe we'll meet up!

Today temps were only in the low 70's & by the time we raced after they got the track dried from AM rain, the humidity was down too. I raced against a supercharged SS who ran 10.013 in the first race & a ZL1 who ran 11.613. Both made me look like I was almost sitting still but it was fun!
I am really sad & .............well mad this AM though as Hubby says he cannot take a 3rd day at the fest & does not want me to go by myself. I WANT TO RACE! I WANT TO RIDE ALONG WITH SOMEONE ON AUTOCROSS! (can't drive since I didn't get a fire extinguisher installed). I want to see the COPO Camaro run more passes & all the super modded cars race. I want to watch drift & autocross & drag. I paid for 3 days & it is only a one hour drive for us. I just don't know how I will be able to let go of how upset I will be if I don't get to go today. I just needed to vent.

Dianokie, congrats & still awaiting those pics.......
Morning all! I'll attach the best picture of the new baby........he's so sweet! Looks like you had fun Jan...........I know you're disappointed that you're not going back for day 3........no one else going? Linda, wish I was going through Vegas, LAX was a zoo Friday night.........Hope everyone has a good Sunday.....working on cars..........or whatever..........

I got the most ghetto rental car ever..........I had a mid-size and they upgraded me to a full size..............Crown Vic.........I didn't even know they still made those monster cars..........I feel pimp....... They're not very modern either.........miss the Camaro and my Equinox..........:(

That baby is just toooooooooo cute! Well, sometimes a little clear communcations about your feelings gets you what you want or at least part of it. I did get to go to the Fest today but not in time to make my last drag strip run. :( I did get to do a ride-along on the autocross track in a ZL1 with a very good driver. At this Fest they were not playing around on that autocross track. I'm glad I got to ride in a car on hte track & it was a real blast, but I could not drive like that. I'm really glad I did not spend the $ to get a fire extinguisher installed to drive autocross. One of our club guys won best late model Car in the Show & Shine. Now I have 2 fests to look foward to next year.
Here is a pic of me with the ZL1 & it's driver, a sponsor on C5 with Torq.

No, I did not know that! If it doesn't interfere with auction week here in Phoenix, I'd like to do this.

Bet that was loads of fun! I think I recognize that '66 Chevelle towards te front of the line.

Chevelle repairs went much smoother today. A severe thunderstorm blew through here tonight. Lightning struck the street light on our cul de sac and tripped a circuit in the garage. I was able to reset it with no problems, but my next door neighbor was not so lucky. Both calipers are hung and bled, managed to replace one rear wheel cylinder. To be continued.......

Rick, I don't know if you're a member of their club, but it may help to join. They're a large group and extremely well organized. I've been in touch with one of their organizers regarding WCOFF.

Keep a really close eye on that thread as "Run to the Fun" event fills up fast; I'd heard that last year they had to turn people away.

I joined a few months back and visit the web site daily. Guess I just missed that event.

Ugh, another Monday....
Only slightly more tired than a normal Monday morning. Puppy training is going well - only had to get up once in the middle of the night last night! Coco is probably the smartest pup I've ever had... Which could be good and bad. Smart often equals destructive later on. We'll have to wait and see, I guess.
Weekend was packed with fun. Charity car show Saturday night, two new C5'ers showed up, great to have new members! The Seahawks game went down to the wire. Hawks ended up losing, but I said early in the game that it was going to come down to penalties and I was right - Seahawks had 13, Cardinals had 10. They're gonna get the rule book thrown at them this morning, I bet.

Diane, cute grandbaby!! Jan, glad you got to make it to the fest, but I was a little surprised you didn't go to the Titans home opener! StL Lingenfelter - getting a puppy cost me money - not gonna help much in the mods department. Oh well, I don't drive Ladybug much in the winter, I'll still have enjoyment from the puppy then! Skyman, I didn't do my Hazel impression either - football and puppy play time sounded more fun (and they were!)...

Hope everyone has a great week!!!!

Good Morning All.

Jeanette, sorry to hear about your team.

Good morning Sky Man! Glad to hear you're feeling better. Those wheels look GREAT!!!!

I had to check nfl.com to see that the Vikings won - shocked the heck outta me; they'd done so poorly the last 2 years that 6 weeks into last year's season I tured off the TV and walked away. A month ago I cancelled NFL Sunday Ticket when they were giving it away for free to new subscribers but not to their exisiting customers... so-oo .

Hope everyone has a great week!

Linda great to hear your team won Murphy's Law. Have you ever been to one of the Blue Ox Taverns? We had one by our house on W Sahara. It was a Viking Bar on GameDay.

Isn't that the way it goes? It's been years since I've been to the Blue Ox, but it wasn't during football season; I live about 5 miles due north on the West Sahara location but I don't have to worry about next Sunday as I'm supporting a deployment for work beginning at 6 AM. If all goes well I may just be housebound during the day and provide phone support if I get a call.

The last couple of years Directv gave Sunday ticket programming free after the 4th or 5th week of the season to non-subscribers so I'll see what they do.

You'd think that business would give their existing customer base at least the same perks as they give new customers but nobady takes care of their 'bread and butter" so cancellation was just a phone call away.

BTW, did I tell you those WHEELS LOOK GREAT?!?!?

Skyman, wheels and tires look great. Glad you are feeling better.
LBM sorry about the Hawks. Glad you had fun at your car events tho.
HRS, that's one thing that really bugs me about some service providers - here, CenturyLink offers $19.95/month internet locked in for 5 years, but only if you are a "new" customer and bundle with your phone service. Existing customers pay about twice that amount.

Gotta run gang, have a great Monday!
