The shifter is dealer installed so it shouldn't hold the order up at all. Scruffage is right, hang in there it will happen.

Hi Becky,

Any update on PCTTVF?
Status of 1100 as of Aug-5.

I spoke to the dealer on Aug-16 and they said they have allocation and I'm listed as #1 priority. I guess I have to take their word on it.
Camarotracking.com showed 1100 two days ago on Wednesday morning. Is it reasonable to ask you for an update two days later? How often is your information updated?

I think I'll be more patient after I go above 1100.
For now, I just want to see the build start on my beautiful Camaro.

Thanks,
Doug

As of right now, it's still 1100.
Hi Becky,

I just checked again yesterday and my order #PCTTVF is still at 1100.
When you said that "next Thursday starts the new months allocation", does that mean that the new allocation starts today(Aug-26) or next Thursday(Sep-1)? I'm not sure what more I can gain by asking my dealer about which month they have allocation for considering they just told me that they do indeed have allocation.

I'd like to know when I could expect to see my status change if it turns out that my dealer has allocation for next month.

Thanks,
Doug

Today starts the new month of allocation that they say they have for you. Do they have any Camaro allocation today? It could be they have allocation for the month, but when it's spread out over the weeks, they may not have it today. Ask them when the order will be placed and we can double check it here.

Oh, i just wondered how big of a radius from the Oshawa plant that they just sent the cars by truck. I didn't think the railcars pulled up to the dealer,

REALLY? The dealer installs the HURST shifter? I ask my dealer about installing the aftermarket HURST while they were on constraints, so I wouldn't have to wait, and they told me that they couldn't do it. They acted like it was too big of a job but now they are gonna install my GM HURST? Now i'm a little scared.

No the part is sent to the dealer and the dealer installs it. So says the invoice. Much like the ground effects or accessory wheels, they are sent to the dealer for installation. Now when I look at the order guide it's not designated as a dealer install so this will be interesting. I do know that it's not available to order as an accessory, cause I want one and can't get it I'll see if I can get any further clarification from GM. Stay tuned. Regardless, it looks like I'm going to have to test drive Jayconut's car

As it stands now, all shifters that have been sent are being installed on "the line" to fill dealer or customer orders that requested the "Hurst" option. At some point GM will likely give the dealers the option to have it as an "accessory" /dealer installed as well once orders are caught up. Now, this would be a GM decision.
