I don't usually get too personal on here, but I'm gonna let you in on my last 36 hrs or so.....

I'm doing paperwork at about noon, getting ready to go to work. My son calls. He never calls, he ALWAYS texts. Tells me his son fell out of a 2nd story window and has a fractured skull, that he's conscious and talking but they're medevac'ing him to the childrens hospital in the city.

Cut to the good news, there's no bleeding or swelling in the area of the fracture, and he's clear eyed and speaking properly, all good signs. They released him from the hospital and he's back home where he belongs.

God is good.

Anyways, thought I'd share with you one of my worst days ever, and one of my best days ever..... all in the same day.

Mike, I'm so glad he's ok. I have a grandson about the same age...........I can definitely identify. He's getting so big.....no baby face anymore

Good Friday Morning Woooooo Hooooooooo!!!!!!!!! Soooooooooo glad for the weekend. I will have my usual shorter work day today, then come home & do a bit of detailing to Ruby for a Car Show in Clarksville tomorrow. It will be nice to spend a leisurely day with a high temp of 70 with Hopefully (slight chance of rain could inhibit the garage queen) both our Camaros & other automotive enthusiasts. Have a good Friday & a great weekend everyone. I'll save Friday pic & maybe snap one this evening when I get home.

I loved the time I spent on Route 66. Would like to do it again. I didn't know that Wigwam Motel really existed. Got the reference of the corner in Winslow, but I didn't realize flat bed Fords were made in England.

Yes Endeavor was the last out of here:( and just touched down in L.A.
Hoping the Rain Gods will take a break tonight. Hotel Mikey is open for business and a houseful of relatives is headed to Mickey for an early NotSoScaryHalloweenParty. Either going to head to a Cruise or have a nice peaceful house to thyself.Either way it's a win here.

This Wig Wam in Holbrook, AZ is still in operation. Although it is no 5-star resort, it is a neat, clean place to stay overnight. The wig wams are surprisingly roomy inside for what they are, but I can't see a large family staying in one! The AC works, old TV works, and the bathrooms roomy enough.

We stayed there to be a part of history, and will probably do it again.

Little trivia: Oprah Winfrey and her "crew" booked an overnight stay there some years ago. When she arrived, she wanted no parts of staying there, so they found her other accomodations in Holbrook.
