Yeah, see, no offense to Steve, but why would an order submitted on 11-1 get a letter number this low? #63

This whole process is skewed and screwed.

If GM was marketing properly, these would have come a month from now and been an actual picture of your car with the following:

Order Date:
Build Number:
Build Date:
Delivery Date:

Oh, and the sketch number would be your VIN number. It's a simple database for printing from.

This whole issue has ticked me off the last 2 weeks. Especially when I hear that people who ordered after me at the same dealer have already received their second letter when some haven't received the first one.

I hate to say this, but FAIL on this effort GM. I want to get this eventually, but I also would like to have the stuff printed and delivered in some reasonable method. I'm really gonna be pissed if I get some ridiculously high number. It's not a big deal really, but when the simple things get FUBAR, you start thinking about the bigger items.

Well....here it is jan. 5th. Still no second letter. I ordered on Oct. 13th and got my first letter already. Good news is......only a few more weeks until production starts!!

My mail doesn't arrive until 4pm everyday....but the way today's replies sound....I shouldn't be expecting more than just bills in my mail box.

Can someone call that number and get an update, and post here???

can someone post up the number again the actual number on the website its like 1-800-957-chev or something like that but on my blackberry it doesnt work like that my numbers only have one letter to each button idk what that number would be that represents chev.

Wait nvm i just found out if i just type in the chev it converts it and calls the right number cool haha by the way that number would be 1-800-950-2438

My Wife just check the mail again today, I ordered a 2SS/RS on Oct. 28th and still no letter at all. I watched the Salesman input the order and have had an order number since then.

I just called the 800 number the girl said that i will have to call tomorrow cause in their system they cant forward it to the right department to get it sent or something untill after today even though i checked my mail and i dont have it she said she knows it stupid but its just how it is so now i gotta call back tomorrow.

I just called that number and I gave them my order # just to confirm that the order had been placed and she confirmed this for me. She had some problems intially because her system was searching for 2009 models. She finally figured out the problem and confirmed my order. She told me that I should have my car by August. I did not panic when she quoted this date because I believe that she was probably giving me a date that dealerships should be selling them. I want my letter, but the fact that GM confirmed my order puts me at ease.

December 2nd. The only reason I wanted confirmation of my order is because I never received an official GM workbench printout from my dealer. I called him and asked him about my order # and he e-mailed me an order # and it also listed the options I ordered. I finally decided to go ahead and check with GM to confirm this order# after reading some of these posts. I put my order in much later than most of you, so I am not really too concerned with not receiving my letter. I am at ease just knowing that my order was definitely received by GM. I hope like heck that I ain't got to wait till August to get my car though.
