Sounds like a typical teenage girl to me, not bad karma.

I was talking the Karma thing more for me than her. I try to do good to others so good will come to me. I am just happy that she seems to be taking the chemo well and that we have become alot closer.

I myself believe in my faith and also some in karma. I think people doing good deads in life will have some good brought back to them. Why my baby girl is sick has made me question my faith lately, but I still have it and pray daily to the lord that he will make her well again.

The thing about all this is Steph was always kind of the trouble child in the household. The one that would talk back, do things you did not want her to do and just make alot of messes. Now that she has been hit with the cancer, her room is still messy. But she never talks back and is the best little girl you could ask for. I wonder alot what is going on in her mind and maybe realizing she may see the lord before planned has made her see things she did wrong in the past and is trying to make them right. I do not know, but it has brought the two of us alot closer than we have been in 5-6 years.

I just want to live to be at leat 76 and I want my Steph to be alive with me until my time to be with the lord.
Scott, thanks so much for posting the picture and the update. My wife asks me about every other day if I have heard anything about "the little Camaro girl" (I told her the story when you first posted it). I believe that things happen for a reason. You might not realize what that reason was at the time, but you will some day. (Quick example, when my wife and I got married, we really wanted an August wedding. For several reasons, the hall was not available for anything in August, September or October. They basically said you can have any date you want as long as it is June 10. We were really upset, but didn't have much choice. 6 weeks after the wedding my father passed away. Had we had the wedding when we wanted, he wouldn't have been there and a very happy event would have been a very sad one.)

Stephanie (and you, your family and friends) is going through this for some reason. You will realize it when it is supposed to all make sense to you. If for no other reason, it shows you the love and compasion that people can have in their hearts (complete strangers sending money, wishes and prayers). That should be a lesson for everyone.

To both of you, never lose the faith, hope and love that you have. For although you are tested and your burden may be heavy, it will be lifted and better days are coming.

Stephanie Update 2-26-2009

Well she may be getting a blood transfusion today. Her red blood cell count may be to low for todays Chemo without it. I have to say she sure is a tough bugger. She even went to Mass last night for Ash Wednesday before the 3 hour drive up to Birmingham.

Alot of the youth group got to see her that have been missing her. Kind of funny some of the older people did not recognize her do to her blonde wig. The wig she likes makes her look like Hanna Montanna. The picture with the remote controlled car the other day she had one of her many hats she has gotten. She has maybe 200 strands of hair left so she combs them all back to make it look like she has hair under her hat.

She told me to give this to all of you that pray for her and have helped us out.
