First question anyone asks me is "when are you getting your car" I just tell the May like I know what I'm talking about. If it's earlier... cool..

Looks like production starts on Jan 23rd...

The Dealer said that their allocation of 4 was for May 2012, I believe that is when they expect all Dealers to begin getting the first allotment. I am sure that is subject to change.

Your dealer has no clue when his allocations will be up at this time.

Read through this thread for more information on timing, then go back and tell your dealer when the dates are. You will suprise him with how much you know..

HA...how very true, you'll teach your dealer more from this website then he/she could learn all day anywhere else!

DeSantis Chevrolet in Brockton Ma is awesome. I placed my order for the 2010SS back in 10/08 no money down and no extra charges.
Now the same deal when I placed my order on 11/1/11 for the ZL1. They are only getting one and that's mine order#PZFCQC.
Dan DeSantis is the man. George my salesman is a great guy too.

Please change my order# from PZFCQC to PZGG69. This change was due to not having all codes needed when initial order was placed on 11/1/11.

According to that link the first production of them will show up at dealers late first quarter 2012 that would make it March/April, so May sounds like a good wag.

Excuse my ignorance but is the ZL1 a limited production car?.....

What I mean is, my local Chevy dealer told me they were allocated 5 of them, and I could not order it the way I wanted...it was ..."take what we are getting or you cant have one."

Now I am not getting rid of my glorious Challenger

.... but I may be interested in the ZL1..especially if it's only 47 to 50 grand.....but I want it my way.

Whats the dealie O?........

Not limited production, but the initial allocations will be limited, after that it should become more available.
