It goes both ways doesnt it???? Hear me out....
-Cars 1-5 are built...but a problem is found
-adjustments are made
-while 1-5 are being fixed, 6-10 are built with fixes in place
-1-5 now have to be re-inspected 6-10 are ready to be shipped

Should we hold up cars 6-10 just so 1-5 can get their cars first?
If thats the thinking then 1-5 are not being......

Your missing the point, we arent complaining about issues like you indicated.
It's the production of Dealer LOT cars and Avis cars. We arent even complaining about the SHOW cars.

i'm mean, honestly wtf people? we dont have our cars cause of a reason... gm wants you to get your car but it has to be a car that's perfect.

so the fact that you ordered an early RP6 car means your accepting the possibility of being held back thanks to being the first.

it's just the way it goes, the cars after the issues are fixed are getting shipped out and into customers hands...

in all honestly, stfu for once with all this whinning. there's 14k people who preordered if not more, just cause you did and you dont have your car the day after you order doesn't mean you need to start bashing the company and the people behind it.
I'm interested in knowing if YOU ordered a 2010 Camaro and if so, when did you order it?

AND once again, the thread is "Complaint Thread - still no car." So how is it that YOU come in here and say "stfu" ? ? ? ? ?
Huh?
Have some or don't come in here and talk trash.
If you're not one of the RP6 crowd, don't go away , just go away!

I'm with you guys on a lot of this stuff, especially the Avis thing. At least with those who pre-ordered this year, they're customers who pre-ordered. With Avis, I don't even get that mindset. The only thing that makes any sense on GM's end is to get it out to rental companies so that the general public can rent it and see what they think without actually buying. Of course, the glaring problem with that is that those who rent and like it enough to buy now go to a dealership and say, I want X Camaro with X options. "Fantastic, sir/ma'am, we'll go ahead and put that order in for you. Oh, but you most likely won't get it until late this year or early next, because there are 15,000+ other customers who pre-ordered before you and they're still waiting for THEIR cars. But thank you"... I just don't get it.

I know we have been given so much information throughout this whole process, but why all the secrecy now? Why take away our access to VIN's? It was great to see so many cars built everyday. It helped build excitement, but now we're completely blind and frustrated. Other companies (Chrysler with Challenger) had a very simple web site that told you where your car was. How hard could that have been?
For me, my car comes when it comes. I don't have a long Camaro history like some of you. For those of you that were there Oct 13 when your dealership opened, they should be doing everything possible to get you your car. You guys deserve it more than anybody.
Like you, I'm feelin' pretty unloved right now, but waiting somewhat patiently....what else can we do?

We haven't really paid anything to GM yet.
As to the order priority - who knows what the answer is but I guarantee you it's money related. There is no logical reason for shutting off the VIN site or not updating workbench or not issuing TPW unless you're hiding something - or corporate shortsightedness.
"Enthusiast loyalty" apparently goes only so far.
Yep, you figured it out, Zombie....we're nothing special to GM.

It will be a little while before Camaro production is at that point, but at 5000 plus Camaros per month, not that long.

Challenger buyers in the same boat is little consolation, C5. But you are right, it really won't be that much longer for any of us regardless of info coming from GM or not.

It seems to me that GM would want the 14,000 + pre-orders to ship after the dealer launch May 6th to enthusists that are going to be 'brand ambassadors' not only for the car but for the company that built it. I gotta tell ya, the first time I am offered a Camaro as a rental car, I am going to cancel my pre-order for a CGM, RS with silver stripe & polished 20's. I am buying the a $ 30K car at to be my garage queen, go trolling on Saturday nights, and be my time machine back to high school - when I could not afford one. GM please do not use the mustang playbook - let us help you, by helping us - for the next 90 days, build the pre-order camaro's - we'll do the selling.

Isn't this poll subject to just a little bias on this forum???

It is time for GM to dedicate to build all preorder cars......while they may not of promised this, thats what they suggested they would be doing simply by taking the early orders.

I'm one of the lucky few that ordered late (late February) and got the #1 car from a larger area dealer...next week it should be in my hands

As Bobby said, you are missing the point Shnomac, cars 6-10 are not being built, cars 15,000 - 16,000 are!

By all means I am willing to wait my turn, but it seems that the pre-order system means nothing. Please prove me wrong, but ordering within the first month to month and 1/2 should mean something for us who put are hard earned money as a down payment which I am sure someone is making interest on.
aman brotha, now my dealer on top of that is trying to jerk me around and raise the price. I know a dealer right now I can get the same car I orderd from next week but my dealer refuses to refund my dep. Oh and I put a dep. down 7-21-08 and placed the order on 10-13-08.
