What kind of power difference would you expect with 93 octane?

No clue!

Maybe I just need to road trip back east and try it!

IAT2's at the start of each pull were between 86-92* the highest we saw at the shut down of the runs was 112*. This was accomplished with a reasonably small fan about 8' away from the front of the car.

When we street tuned in the heat of the summer the IAT's were very impressive on hard long pulls through the gears.

This head and cam combo works very well, after this build and seeing the results, my build will include MAST 12* on a 4.165" bore.

I would say potentially +20hp. The 2 oct points is good for a few more degrees of timing.

It does and I never noticed that. I guarantee I did NOT change motor mounts although I've been thinking maybe I should seeing the way the engine shakes at idle with this cam. I can only imagine how much it try to twist when I launch with drag radials...

in some cases a soild engine tie down plate on the driver front head with spherical hardware can allow cushy motor mounts to do thier cushy job while preventing engine wrap, torque stear, and counter acting a small percentage of drive line loss.

if noise or vibration is an issue it can be removed for daily use
then can be re-installed in less than 5 minutes for fun weekends at the track

Seen pleanty on Gen1 SBC / V6 Turbo Grand Nats
I'm yet to see on an LS3/L99

Although I had my own issues getting used to my ZL1 at the strip tonight, it seemed everyone was running about 1 second slower than they expected their cars to do. Traction was horrible and people absolutely could not hook up. I tried burnout, no burnout, all aids off, launch control in PTM mode 5 once, Could not put the power down until 3rd gear. Both 1st and 2nd would break lose with Nitto NT05Rs at 23psi.

My best run was 11.7 at 125MPH against a supercharged Mustang GT and he was frustrated that he usually runs 11s and couldn't get out of the 12s tonight.

I shall return!

Videos of my best run for all to criticize!

In car of the same run:

Nittos never worked for any of my cars.....M/T ET Drag Radial or M&H Racemaster...those are your best bet. M/T's will be on my ZL1 as soon as I can get home from Asia and install all the goodies waiting in my hangar.

Plus we were told run faster than 11.5 we would be off the track for the night (track rules due to HP.... Both missing drive shaft loops) . So basically figuring out how to run the car first couple of passes..

Post vides of our runs together?
