That is exactly why I posted the Window Sticker. It is a car that was customer ordered and I am assuming that customer is Emjay. So to all the folks who are thinking that we may be barking up the wrong tree, I suggest you ask one of the hundreds of R6P buyers on this site and ask them one question: Did you agree to a price when you ordered the car? I think you would have a hard time finding a member that says "No, I just ordered it and we'll figure out a price when it comes in".

Seems we are there for their convenience....How long will they be able to stay in business when their potential buyers recognize they are driven by GREED and have no honor, and go elsewhere???? Trickery, deception and small print are just BS excuses. Fairness and relationships are , or should be, what helps companies thrive and survive.

But none the less selling at over msrp is still a ripoff , the dealers and GM need to be building their business instead of pissing their customers off and running their business into the groung , For God sakes GM is allmost in bankrupcy , should be kissing customer's butt's for business right now !!!

what is the market adjustment? i have a dealer here in flroida that will sell for MSRP and there are cars on thier lot right now...so there is no market adjustment. some dealers sell for 2K over, 5k over..... who determines market adjutsment?

that dealer is full of shiat...

maybe that dealer got a letter from GM closing so he is basically doesnt care and is trying to make money before closing

Hello Hylton,
My name is Brendan Egan I am the sales Manager here at Eagle Chevrolet.
I am in fact giving her the car at the price agreed to I have a signed buyers order that says in plain english that the price is subject to market conditions at time of allocation. She is the one not sticking to the original deal when her allocation came up she was given the same options all of our camaro customers were. Option 1. pass on the car and we refund her deposit option 2. she can go to the back of the line (order wise) and wait a bit longer to see what the market does option 3. we place the order and give her the price. she chose option three was given her price she agreed and we ordered her car now that it is here she is the one who would like to change our agreement not us. please feel free to contact me at (631) 727-1100 ext 1324 I would be happy to go over this in detail with you.

Thank you,
Brendan Egan

I dont see how "market conditions" can justify a price hike...I mean they are in no way shape or form in a position to do that with dealerships closing etc...o well glad to see shes getting it at msrp!! Congrats

I ordered in March and my dealer didn't get his pricing until the day I ordered. I was the third order so 2 people ordered without knowing the final price. Did the really early orderers know the price or just get a deal for whatever MSRP turned out to be?

who controls the "market conditions"? It's this guys pocket.. If the market conditions were over MSRP.. THEN EVERY DEALERSHIP IN AMERICA WOULD SELL FOR OVER MSRP!

Stop being a scum bag.. Give her her car she ordered.. ain't that hard. This is the reason why GM's image is so tarnished. They have strayed from what gave them success in the 1920's. HONEST BUSINESS ETHICS.

Hylton, forgive me if I sound like a smart ass here, I'm NOT being that way but do you have somewhere official that says we are price protected by R6P and to what effect. Define price protected. I'm thinking R6P means nothing but 'pre-order'

Yeah, I'm still a bit confused. Hylton, is Emjay getting the car at MSRP or is the dealer going to continue to be a scummer and not sell her the car? It sounds like after the outpouring we gave Emjay, he was ready to cave and sell her the car. Did something else happen we don't know? Thanks Hy!

Wow it seems everyone is assuming , including the dealer, that Market price means increased price. Well it doesnt. In actuality I could make an argument that Market price is less than MSRP. In this economy most if not all luxury items have fallen 12-17% in price. With that in mind then the price of the Camaro should also fall in price. Housing has fallen in price. Boats have fallen in price. Jewelry has fallen in price. The stock market has fallen in price. So the Camaro should follow suit and fall in price if they were to sell it at market value.
