I have the JBA shorties installed and have already taken it to the deal to get it checked out and they said nothing about any part of my warranty being voided. And being said even if i did have a problem they would have to indefinitely prove that the JBA's were the reason for the problem in court

First, Did you specifically ask about the effect on warranty, and second, if there was an issue in dispute they could simply refuse to provide the service and it would be up to you to both take them to court and prove the headers were not the reason for the problem. And we both know how difficult it is to disprove a negative.

Some dealerships are much more mod friendly than others... I've heard horror stories of dealerships trying to blame bad front struts on an axle back exhaust..

On the other hand my previous dealership did a lot of warranty work on my HEAVILY MODDED previous car... I'm talking N2O, helmet in the back seat and numbers from the track on the windshield! Now I never came in with anything majorly wrong... but for example they replaced my throttle position sensor on my throttle bottle even though my N2O was wired up to it!

Haha no i didnt specifically ask them but they are a pretty mod friendly dealership in fact she told me that if i had a tune on my car to take it home reflash it and come back so they could do the work without voiding my warranty. And yes it would be a very strenuous process if you wanted to prove that the headers were not the problem. I guess it really is all up to how mod friendly the dealership is in the end

Thanks for the info...I guess I"ll call the dealership where I bought my car and/or shop around for a mod friendly shop....I was going to do the installation myself, but it may be worth having them do it.

I'm not sure exactly what one cycle is, but I was a lot more at ease after talking it over with him and went ahead and had the JBAs installed. VERY VERY glad I did.
Has any body tried to wait it out for the cel to clear its self does this work ?

I've often wondered if the freer flowing headers are making the rear o2 think there is an exhaust leak?

firefighterEMT33, my tech said the normal cycle is 50 key cycles. So 50 off and ons?

Going to be interesting to see what happens after LT and tune.
Does It work 50 on / off s ..ill try it but how long should I let it run each time should I drive it ?

Stock tune? What did you change as far as the tune? Are you talking about in the tuning the brain? If so, everything I have been reading about the V6 is that its locked up like fort knox. What exactly has been tuned? Also what are you using to tune? Diablo?
