I have heard this one before.... I'm keeping my fingers crossed in the hopes that it is upon official relase of the numbers in 2QTR. But, not bad being #44 of 294!!

GM confirmed the build date.. But, here's a question for autoguy.. Under the rear is a sticker posted by Martinrea Automotive Systems (Ajax, ON). It lists my VIN and a "PVI" number (?). The sticker has a date of 09April2010, 10:28:26am.
Could this be the actual build date ?........ ? Last edited by 2010 Indy Pace Car; 02-23-2011 at 12:24 PM. |

Anyone have a really good photo of the "Flag Lot" windshield decal? Assuming #44 is a "replica" I need to "replicate" the decal. If it turns out that she's not, I need to replicate the decal!

Festival car #44 was VIN Number 210028. Your car is not a Festival Car. It was the 44th Pace Car Built in the total of 295. The Festival cars were not sequential VIN Numbers. The #44 for the Festival car has no relationship to the 44th car built.
You cannot replicate the Flag Lot Decal. They all have a special Indianapolis Hologram so they cannot be counterfeited. |

My request was not so I can make a counterfeit decal to pass 44 off as a Track car. My request was intended to obtain a photo so that I could make a replica copy for replica car, for personal use. |

I'm not trying to be a smart *$%& or anything, just curious as I like to know what I've got officially. I was very thorough with my documentation with my 2002 LE and the GEN5 is a completely different animal. Thanks in advance for your assistance and your responses thus far to all of my questions. I've learned quite a bit here on this thread! Michael

The best way to do it is get a real decal from someplace like the infield. Then you have the hologram. Festival cars get parked in different places so many decals can be correct. Try eBay. $5-10. I have also seen a company selling a replica plate. They will even make any number you want. They are not perfect but look close.

I just remembered Festival car 44(500 festival) is for sale at Andy Mohr in Indianapolis. You could go there and take a nice color photo of the flag lot sticker and plate. Or buy the car and have both car #44s!

Based on the VIN, Festival #11 is at Andy Mohr Speedway.

However, I'll bet I can pick up a decal during the Reunion in May! I've already picked up a replica plate from eBay. Thanks everyone!! |

I just looked at both stores and did not see #44. I thought maybe you saw the 11 from a distance. When I first glanced at it, it looked as if it could have been taken as a 44.
